❛  jesus christ.  ❜  jessica fishes her phone out of her pocket, thumb already working over the cracked screen to call up hogarth’s number.  she winces at the slim red bar that stands out like a warning sign that her battery is about to die.  a damn it slips out, whiskey-soaked  &  unsubtle.  after a few half-assed attempts to get a coherent text message together, she looks down at the kid next to her.  

her camera slings around her neck, lens cap off, enough pictures of this session’s perp of week that she’s confident that she’ll get paid.  she looks him up  &  down in a split-second assessment.

For awhile, Diego and Five were paired together in training and Reginald even planned to pair them on missions until it became glaringly obvious that the two of them together would cause problems. Both Five and Diego are skeptical by nature and have a tendency to follow their own idea of what should be done. That being good or bad is besides the point. The issue for Reginald was that it lessened his control over them and if the two were allowed to continue creating this bond of sorts....it could mean chaos later on down the line.
