So much to memorize by Thursday! Every single OP is overwhelming. At my college, information is thrown at us and by the next week we are tested on the information. When I applied for this course I realized all the self study I would be needing to do. One day of no studying pushes me a whole week back. But I would not have it any other way. I've lived a life of being intelligent, not having to put to much effort into my studies. I studied psychology, sociology and anthropology for fun, I read up on small business prep, religion and Canadian law...anatomy? Medicine? Was something I was interested in but never kept with, until now. Recertified in First Aid and CPR 3 this past week. The last day we spoke about my favorite topic...childbirth. Due to the class being taken with the rest of my classmates that are already aware of my doula dreams they asked me plenty of questions on the topic. So I informed a class full of people about how lotus births work, a few ways to help ease labor pains if they were faced in an emergency birth situation and a few other points. Lily's SK class voted to learn about the human body this year ("just like mommy!"she says) so I have been letting her look through some of my anatomy books, she was very interested in the biology of pregnancy and the "string" that feeds the baby.
