Burswood Stadium Bridge design finally out!  Estimated date of completion - end of 2016.  I think this is the first Perth design that’s actually unique looking! Excited for it to be completed. And one of the few constructions in Perth that will be completed within a year! Things are finally looking better

Masterplan proposal to redevelop South Perth and restore the original lagoon that was infilled in the 50s when Narrows Bridge was built. 

The proposal includes a riverfront restaurant, pedestrian bridge and restoration of black swan habitats.

Also in proposed for future considerations is the redevelopment of the Oll Mill precinct which currently looks extremely run down, and potential for a museum and marina. 

Together with the newly proposed 30 storey apartment by Frasers along Mill Point Road, looks like South Perth is becoming exciting too. Hope this will all happen soon while I'm still working there so that I can enjoy the benefits of a more lively and beautiful foreshore =)

Perth Airport's Vision!

I really hope this becomes a reality. The current Perth Airport looks really sad.... just spent 6 hours there a week ago waiting for my flight. Almost died of boredom. 

However, the expected completion date for everything to come in place is 2034. 20 years from now! The world may have already ended by then....

Despite constant opposition from the local community and council from having tall, bright and beautiful buildings, the State Government finally decided to go ahead and grant approval for a 16 storey development over the dilapidated pavilion market site!

Public arcades, F&B outlets, short stay hotels and apartments are things that can be expected pending a development application from the developer. 

Hopefully the council won't turn down another plan to bring sleepy town Perth to life!
