Work?

Honestly I’m a bit disappointed in the amount of work we have to do. I feel like I didn’t do enough for this assignment, could have worked way harder, could have had more small assignments next to it. - still I got a (nice) compliment of how much effort I put in to it. Ofcourse I’m happy to hear my work get’s appreciated, but to be fair we had 2/3 weeks to come up with a scenario and make a little movie. That we could have done in 1 week too ?  It’s not that I’m criticising the way the minor is, cause I do really like the topics we deal with. But for me honestly, this minor is the only thing I am doing at this moment in the school, I can do way more work for it. 

This week with both Allard & last Thursday with Lucas, I had the feeling I didn’t really had much to ask or tell. I wrote it all in my tumblr, I knew what we had to do, so I felt that I was also wasting a bit of your time. I know it is always valuable to talk about the projects, but this project took 3 / 4 weeks (incl. ddw), while if there would have been a bit more pressure we could have done this in 1/2 weeks too.

Anyway, I also realise that most of the responsibility of keeping myself occupied lays with myself. Though I could appreciate it if there would be a bit more input / material asked from us (me) - from your side?  I think it is really sweet that you feel that we could use a weekend off, but I feel that is absolutely not true or deserved in any kind of way. Ofcourse I can only speak for myself here.

I really really liked doing this, giving the scenario shape. I like to think in the way the scenario could get worse without us realising. Before I watched a post world film, in where they were talking about the pollution and how bad the sun was now for us. The only thing I could think of was that we did that to ourselves, or better, we are doing this to ourselves. Cause we build solutions on top of the problem instead of trying to solve the issue. With that idea in my head I also worked on this scenario. How can I create a solution that might become a problem again? 

The story I told you before about the roads of Lisabon, that is a rare example in where they realised they couldn’t even prepare for what would be - one day. At least they tried to keep in mind that whatever they build will be there for the next generations too. Something I feel is lacking in our society, dealing with the conseceunses (or even researching them). 

What do I need - How do I get what I need - Stop. I would never say that we should not put our own needs at first, cause who else will - I do want to say that we could maybe try to expand it. What do I need - How do I get what I need - What happens if I take it?
