I had my mind blown for the weirdest reason yesterday when I was figuring how old I'd be at the time that Detriot: Become Human takes place (because I got curious). I'd be 36. The weird thing is, you know how old Jack's gonna be then? 48. We'll both be technically "middle aged" at the same time.
Why this weirds me out is that in the present day, we're in two different levels of the soceital heirarchy. He's a young adult and I'm a teenager. But in 20 years from now we'll be in the same level of the hierarchy. I don't know why this blows my mind so much.
It's kinda like how a 6 year old being friends with a 16 year old is weird but a 36 year old being friends with a 46 year old isn't. I know WHY it isn't, the 36 and 46 year old are both fully mentally and physically developed human beings, it still kinda blows my mind.
Then I started having a premature mid life crisis once I realized that in 2038 I'll only be 36. It sounds like such a futuristic and "science fictiony" year but I'll still be fairly young.
Then I started realizing how young 16 actually is and how little time I've actually been here and how my entire life is not even 25 percent of the total human life (assuming you live to be 100)
Time is weird and my brain is mush now.
Mike: Bella, step out of this Ford Instar and into the future.

the only edge i have is the cutting edge
It makes me happy that gay marriage is legalized now because kids in the future are gonna question why it was even illegal in the first place.
IS THAT GOTHAM?
