Fuzzer Diplomacy

So can I just say... Auuuuuuuuugh oh god this is done.

=D As you might notice, it’s been quite some time since I last posted anything, and this picture may have something to do with that. 

These are Fuzzers, character(s) of @kenkit based on a Stellaris race, a hive mind of fox people who - instead of taking the usual hive mind idea of being creeped out and offended at the existence of things which weren’t them - instead became endlessly fascinated with all these different minds and ideas, and instead have been determined to integrate themselves into every world and culture that will have them. 

They go by the name “Connie” (short for “Prime Node Consciousness”, or sometimes “Connor” for the males) and usually endeavour to come across as soft friendly allies to other races - however, they are no strangers to the dangers of space, and occasionally they might need to show willingness to use strength and threat at the negotiating table. One body is much the same as any of her billions of others to Connie, and normally she likes to keep her public face less scarred, but sometimes a damaged form can be useful to put on a bit of a show...

This started out as just a couple of practice heads for Connie for a completely different idea, and then the characters decided to flesh themselves out and I just couldn’t be satisfied until they had bodies, and clothes, and shading and glowing and a background and it just kept going

This is my first time with two characters in the same picture, first time with a background (well, second if you count the basic pic with the anonvees I guess) and first time with glow effects and more soft shading. I’ve learned a huge amount through the process of drawing this picture and honestly part of me wants to go back and redraw some of the early stuff to put the new work to good use, but for now I’m just going to leave it as is because this picture was started a month and a half ago and I want to draw something else!

I’m really happy with the result, though, even if I never want to look at a curtain again.

⭐️ All families have their differences and moments of tension with one another, and the stars are not excluded from that fact. Fuzzy is cherished by the others, especially considering his very young age compared to the rest of them.

🌙 He’s only a baby, and he’s taken care of just like one. He’s watched over—even though he’s a little far away from home—and protected. The stars are chatty and prone to gossip, but merely being talked about makes this little star happy.
