“I wanna do something stupid.” “I’m stupid — do me.”

1. Sunny day I saw you even with my poor eyesight.

2. Everyday We made each other laugh.

3. Night fell And so did I.

4. Days later You did come. But it wasn’t because of and for me.

5. Midnight I thought we were making love.

6. Eleven minutes before class  We kissed some more. I fell some more. 

7. Monday When I thought everything will stop. But it didn’t.

8. End Is this it? Did my poor eyesight trick me into seeing your pupils dilating as I gave you my body and soul? Did you laugh because you saw me as a joke, hidden in the dark crevices of your room? Did you not fall as the night and I did too? 

9. Saturday Good morning. You didn’t kiss me goodbye.

neruda’s words, my thoughts

we had to write a cento with 25 lines for my creative writing class last term! i love neruda so i used his poems for this work :>

come with me, i said, and no one knew where from quinchimalí where your eyes began that time was like never, and like always. so we go there, where nothing is waiting and on through the streets like a man wounded, until i understood. Love: i had found my place, a land of kisses and volcanoes love is a journey with water and stars my beauty, you are as pretty as the wind your hips were that much of the moon for me your deep mouth and its delights, that much sun your wide eyes are the only light i know i love you as the plant that never blooms i love the handful of the earth you are oh, my dearest, i could not love you so! but when i hold you i hold everything that is sand, time, the tree of the rain bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me but you and i, love, we are together the splendour of our love will be alive.— czarina francesca, 2020
