I can’t believe we’re nearly at the end of 2020. It’s been quite the year. Prior to Covid19, there were so many opportunities to perform this year. Literally the day I was to perform with the FWPHIL & FWPHIL Choir a concert of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, the concert is cancelled. Carmina is one Choral work I have always dreamt Performing in my life time. Well at least I’ve learned it. Now the entire reminder of FWPHIL 2021 season is cancelled. Then in the Summer 2020, I had been looking forward to performing at both LA Gay Pride & LA Valley Pride. I had already spoken to the LA & LA Valley Pride Ent. Coordinators & everything, but they both were cancelled. Same went for FWPride Festival. To add to my disappointments, I was eager to land a spot on the Night at The Apollo show in Harlem’s Historic Apollo Theatre, then NY shutdown. Not a great year for performance & Performers as I. Very heartfelt pain because y’all know how much I love music & my passion for singing & Performing. Now learning my older brother has Covid19, oh Lord please let this end soon! To think all of it could have been prevented if the current Administration & Commander in Chief would have acted sooner. If some in society took it more seriously & understood the science of it all. If #45 didn’t Politicize the Pandemic. Let’s all please be respectful & responsible. Think of others & those at high risk. Wear a mask! Social distance! As Pres. Elect Biden has said over again, “We can’t gain a sense of normalcy until we contain & control this virus.”. Times like this I recluse myself & just write & compose music. Praying for our country’s & the world’s future about now. Lord be with us all. Amen. Just saying, DA. #carminaburana #carlorff #fwphil #philharmonic #pride #lapride #valleypride #apollotheater https://www.instagram.com/p/CHWi-bKBQ3V/?igshid=e5pmz9377n
