PreCure reference in “Weathering With You” (2019)
In episode 22 of the original PreCure, Nagisa mentions that she wanted to be a “Battle Ranger” when she was little.
I am more than sure that’s a reference to the same fictional Battle Rangers that exist in Ojamajo Doremi, since both series share creators and staff.
I’ve always thought Nagisa from PreCure and Kyoko from Skip Beat! looked similar.
“Are you alive?”
“Somehow.”
The pacing of the animation here always cracks me up.

Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart (2005)
Pisard was a rather boring villain, but the Canadian dub of Pretty Cure made him (renamed Pijard) pretty funny at times.
This doesn’t seem to be uploaded online yet, so here’s the second version of the Futari wa Pretty Cure ED “Get You? Love Love?!” that was used from Episode 30 onwards.
This version replaces the dancing villains, as the second half of the series focused on the three “Seeds of Darkness” rather than the already defeated original “Dark Five,” and the fairies are added in the final shot with Nagisa and Honoka.
damn bro, you got the whole squad laughing
