as far as distractions go the ceiling doesn’t make for a great one. he’s already cataloged the water stains: five, to be exact, and the pocked landscape of the popcorn ceiling. his gaze darts again to the clock, sour.
the back of a red head doesn’t help ━━ the reason he’s sitting here in detention of all places. as a general rule shinsou doesn’t seek out trouble. he doesn’t avoid conflict or is scared of it, but the less reason people have to hate him the better
today hadn’t been very successful in that regard.

It was sheer coincidence that Sachiko had seen Kobayashi duck into the alley, a villain hot on his trail. She had just been out on a small walk when it happened, so she was unfortunately unarmed. Still, that didn’t stop her from rushing after the two, shouting out to the other student before the villain could deal another blow.
She knew that getting a pro hero to assist or calling the authorities would have been the safest option, but she wouldn’t forgive herself if she didn’t try and help her fellow UA student either.
Quickly putting herself in between Kobayashi and the villain, she glances back at the other as he shouts for her to leave, a frown forming on her face.
“Don’t worry about me Kobayashi-san, I can handle myself. And it wouldn’t be heroic to leave someone who’s in need.
Besides, if she were to get hurt, that would actually give her the advantage, as ironic as that was.
She looked up to the male with curious eyes before nodding and looking back down the hall. " Nothing would ever get done if we all acted like that. "

❝Hey Kirishima, wait a sec—❞ the exciteable redhead seemed to call out as he got out of class, jogging over to the other hero course student with a smile. ❝Happy Halloween! I got you something.❞ From his bag, Koboyashi produced a candy bar- one of full length instead of the usual halloween fun sized ones. ❝I didn't know exactly what you liked, so I hope this is good.❞
lively are yuuei’s students filtering out of several classrooms once the final bells rings to announce that time is their own and kirishima more so than most with schoolbag slung over his shoulder, already anticipating how best to kick off the festivities back at the dorms. however, attention is momentarily diverted once he recognizes himself being addressed.
“ sure, what’s up? ” feet halt mid-stride, gaze settling on newfound company. kirishima, model audience that he is, watches koboyashi reveal the candy from his bag of goodies with the same mystified expression one would when a magician performs. “ for real? for me? sweeet! hey, make sure you save some for yourself too, alright? thanks, koboyashi! ”
He was a bit quieter as he jogged up towards the other, reaching out to gently tap the other hero in training on the shoulder. ❝Hey- sorry to bother you. But I wanted to wish you a happy halloween.❞ Koboyashi gave a soft, beaming smile as he showed off a halloween themed pumpkin cookie, carefully wrapped up as to not damage it in his bag. ❝This is for you- I made it myself. I hope it's as good as it looks.❞
He looked at the cookie, then to the 1-B student, smiling at the gesture. Aw! He'd worked so hard on these, no doubt. They were super cute, Koda was very impressed! He took the bag and gave a grateful little bow in return, a happy grin on his face.That was- really nice and unexpected! Halloween was so cool, it brought so many people together. He held the cookie, wondering if he should nibble on it now or wait until later.
