Rill would end up killing Chris and not remember doing it, then get discovered because it’s kinda hard to hide the fact that you murdered somebody in a hallway in a very populated place. there’d be some confusion over if she should tell George or Katt her secret, and she’d overhear more conversations between the triplets. she would end up telling George because she makes bad decisions and George would wind up being in a cult with his brothers who are trying to find the Protector of Truth. she would tell Katt about her secret despite the fact that the “prophecy” said only three people are supposed to know. Atreus, Katt, and Rill would go on the run from the triplets and their cult. they’d hitch a ride on the train and ride it out as far as it went, and then when they hopped off they’d run off into the woods. then, because serendipity, they’d find a little house or maybe a small village and GASP! Ash is there. ~end of “book 1″ ~ (the only book)
here it is: the FYAEO fic in all its grammatically-incorrect, cringe-worthy glory. let's do this thing. yes, i'm keeping all spelling and grammar errors so you can experience this fic in the way you're meant to. enjoy this silly rip-off of divergent, i guess? there are some ideas literally ripped right from divergent and some ideas are just inverted? like instead of belonging to two different districts or whatever it's just one specific one?? idk what i was thinking tbh but this is like 6000 words of utter shit so i guess enjoy???
notes: many, many run-on sentences; no clue about anything having to do with sign language; lots of tense-switching; badly-written characters and just badly-written in general imo; pretty much no concept of grammar rules (seriously i didn't know a single thing about grammar for some reason and it's really weird); lots of unexplored but introduced ideas; "The Chosen One" who is p much just your typical Mary Sue; poorly-written violence; lot of weird superpower stuff that isn't explicitly mentioned at all because it was basically just an excuse for lazy writing at the time; a complete waste of time basically but have at thee if you wanna take a crack at it
INTRODUCTION
This story focuses around a new generation of humans, evolved with special powers, and technologically advanced, the Fyaeo are their name, but this story is mostly focused on Rill Masterson and her friends. (Katt Peters and Atreus Hades)
The Fyaeo are humans, but have more muscle and lighter bones. The Fyaeo are split into 6 different factors, Anonamy, Kalos, Chrestotes, Eirene, Elpida, and Metanoeo. Anonamy is known for it's bravery, Kalos for it's honesty, Chrestotes for it's kindness, Eirene for it's peacefulness, and Elpida for it's hopefulness, and Metanoeo for it's
At the age of fourteen, you decide where you belong after a test that tells you what you would be best at.
CHAPTER ONE
I wake up. It is the day of the The Test. My brother and I have prepared all of our lives for this. We are in Elpida, our section is ravaged, but we are The Hopeful. We see the good side of everything that happens.
My father pokes his head in the door and smiles, "Big day today! Come down stairs, breakfast is ready."
I walk downstairs and Ash is already sitting at the table eating cereal, as I walk in he grins his happy grin and says," Hey Rill, are you gonna talk today, or will I just have to use our sibling telepathy to communicate again?"
I grin back and sign that I will not talk today. Oh! I knew I was forgetting something! I am mute by choice, so my family understands sigh language, they do not sign to me, since I can hear them, but they do read sign language, so everything is fine.
'Are you excited?' I sign.
Ash sighs, "I'm excited and nervous Rill. How about you?"
I nod my head in agreement, 'It's scary to think about it so I try not to.'
Ash raises his eyebrow at me and asks, "Yes, but, where's the rainbow?" This is a common saying among The Hopeful, meaning there is a good side to everything and you're only seeing the bad.
I sign back, 'We've made it this far.'
Our dad starts to usher us out the door, saying, "Well, you can't take The Test if you talk all day, so get going!"
CHAPTER TWO
As soon as I walk into the rec. building with Ash, I am suprised at the number of fourteen year olds there. There are people from all six factors here in this building. There are 15 spare rooms that are used sometimes but not often, maybe every 4 or 5 months? Oh, and on Test Day.
We sit at a table and Ash talks with friends when I hear right behind me, "Oh, look what we have here, Zach. It's Ash-Tray, Zipper-Mouth, and the other Crack Heads." Crack Heads is a cruel nick name for Elpida because we are always so happy and hopeful. I turn and see Zach, Andrew, and George Fields standing behind me. We call them the terrible triplets. They from Anonamy. Big shock there.
Ash opens his mouth to deliver a retaliation when I hear someone from Metanoeo shout, "Zach! Stop threatening people, Bro! You should've learned that after you messed with Jacob."
Zach looks at the person and yells back, "That was different, dude! These are just idiot Crack Heads! They won't fight back!"
Then a hand clamped down on Zach's shoulder and a deep voice said, "Mr. Fields, don't you think it would be better if you listened to your friend before someone, probably you, get the living crap beat out of them?"
Zach turned and saw Mr. Groust looking at him sternly. Zach groaned, "Whatever, Mr. Groust, I'll leave the Crack Heads alone.
Then my name was called.
CHAPTER THREE
I walk into a black room with a white chair hooked up to a huge machine with a screen on it.
A woman, almost invisible, stands a few feet away from the chair. "Hello, I am Tawnie of Eirene and you are Rill of Elpida if I am not mistaken." She doesn't wait for my answer, just tells me what the machine does.
"This machine is controlled by emotion. You will be shown a series of images and videos and I will check how you react. Then, you will be put in a simulator to see how you would react to things in real-life cirumstances."
I just nod and sit in the chair. She puts needles in myarms and I fall asleep.
I wake up and I'm still in the chair, but I'm strapped down. This must be the visual part of The Test.
I see an image on the screen, it's of a family crying by a ruined house, and the little girl holds her older sister's leg while her big sister puts her hand on her little sister's head. What follows that image is alot of other images just like the first. I don't feel sad, I feel hopeful for these people, a new beginning, a new day. It sounds great.
Then an all new emotion rushes into me and I see myself finding the cause of that devastation and destroying it. The feeling stays throughout the rest of the visual test.
CHAPTER FOUR
After the visual test I am in the simulation part of the test. Two objects float in the air in front of me, a shield and an olive branch. I reach for the shield but my hand falters and I reach for the olive branch instead but I see something in the corner of my eye, so, curious, I turn towards it. It is a badge that belongs to the enforcers that keep us safe. I take it.
I am in the middle of the road, and as I look down at my clothes, I realize I am an enforcer. I feel a rush of power. I see a man with an air of confidence about him. I know he is my superior by how he looks at me. For some reason, I feel a wave of guilt.
My senior walks up and scowls at me. I feel a white hot fire coursing through my veins.
My superior shows me a photo of my brother and says, "This young man has commited a crime and I need you to tell me the truth, do you know this young man?"
I bit my lip and thought for a second, then shook my head.
His eyes widened in disbelief, "No? No? NO! What do you mean no!" He took a deep breath and collected himself. "Are you sure?
I nodded
He sighed, "I had such high hopes for you." His face morphed into my dad's. "I thought you were better than this, Rill. I really did."
Then the simulation ended.
CHAPTER FIVE
I awoke with pains in my arms, blurry vision, and a sick feeling in my stomach. Tawnie was staring at me strangely.
"Your results...were shocking." Tawnie said. When she saw the confused look on my face she elaborated, "Normally people get a few different answers, in fact every single person I've tested has had more than one option, including their home factor, except for you. Rill, what I'm about to tell you might sound strange but," she pauses and look me in the eye, "you are very special, in fact, what you do will effect everyone, not just yourself."
She takes a deep breath and says, "You are destined to be in a specific factor. You are an Anonamy."
I look at her, confused. Then I sit back and think. I've always been different, but I never thought I would be this different. I had my mind set on staying Elpida, on never leaving, but now, I have to.
Tawnie looks at me, "You are The Protector of Truth. There is a story about you. You may trust this knowledge to only two people besides me. We shall be The Holders of the Secret." I get up to leave and right before I do she says, "Be brave, Protector."
CHAPTER SIX
I go home with everyone else and act completely normal for me, quiet, paranoid, and safe in the wall that I have made to hide to hide the real me. If that wall comes down, ever for a split second, everything could come pouring out.
I head straight to bed after my meal. Right before I'm in my room my brother takes my arm and says, "Tomorrow is The Ceremony of Factors, don't do anything stupid."
I go into my room and go to bed. I sleep a peaceful, dreamless sleep.
I wake up the next morning and a feeling of dread and sadness settle into my stomach.
My father comes in and says, softly, but loud enough so I can hear him, "Breakfast is ready."
I head down stairs and while on the stairs I hear sobbing.
I keep going and see my mother crying her eyes out while my father speaks soothingly to her, offering support and assurance.
I catch Father's eye and sign 'What is wrong?' I look around and sign 'Ash is not here.' I look at Mother and Father and sign, 'I get it now. Ash is gone.'
CHAPTER SEVEN
I go up to Ash's room and open the door. I see Ash's bed, his desk, his carpet. I picture him on his bed, smiling when I came in, that goofy grin of his, my little brother, how could this happen?
I walk back down stairs and look at my parents, back and forth, back and forth, then say, my voice gravelly from not being used for years, "I will miss him." I look at them again, back and forth, "I love you and him." My mother burst into tears again.
Through her tears, she managed to choke out, "I missed your voice."
~ Later ~
The Ceremony of Factors.
The Most Important Day of My Life.
I get in line with everyone else, alphabetical order of course.
It feels like forever, but finally I hear "Rill Masterson" and step up to take my turn. There are 7 hovering symbols, each of which signify a factor. There is a fist for Anonomy, a sun for Kalos, a golden heart for Chrestotes, an olive branch for Eirence, a rainbow for Elpida, and a teardrop for Metanoeo.
You have to grasp the symbol if you wish to choose it, if it chooses you back it glows silver. I walk into the circle and without the slightest hesitation, I grasped the fist. It immediately glowed, brighter than I've ever seen before. I peeled my hand away and walked towards Anonomy.
CHAPTER EIGHT
Two people seem drawn to me, a girl and a boy. The girl, Katt Peters is very pale skinned and has fiery red hair and the bluest eyes I have ever seen. I can tell she is Chrestotes. The boy, Ell Caulslent has light brown skin and short, black hair, he has dark brown eyes. He is oh-so-obviously Kalos.
The train slides to a halt and we all get out, most of the people pushing and laughing.
We are on a landing at least 75 feet in the air, with a pit at the foot of it so deep I can't see the bottom.
The last person to get off the train is a boy only a few years older than us, he has a serious face and gray eyes that look unreal.
I walk up to the edge of the platform and look down. A boy joins me and says, "I'm not going down there."
The serious faced boy scowled and said, "Okay, who else?" They peeked over the edge and several hands went up.
He took them to another edge and pointed at a big matress-like thing held up by some people.
He said, "You all jump at the same time."
They got ready and leapt off. As soon as they were all off, the people took the matress and walked away.
The jumpers started screaming, then went splat.
He looked at me and pushed me over the edge with the pit at the bottom.
CHAPTER NINE
I didn't scream or yell. I just brought my arms and legs in and opened my eyes. I would die bravely. With my eyes open. I hope, wherever he is, that Ash is okay, my heart just randomly tells me that.
I feel lost without Ash, and now I won't because I will be dead. My head tells me Ash is dead. I don't listen.
I land, finally, and am cradled by something. I look around. I'm on a matress-thing.
I jump to my feet and see a group of people waiting in a tunnel for me. I go to them.
A boy helps me in and shakes my hand, "I'm Atreus. Who are you?"
Katt lands and says, "Rill, are you okay?" She gets up and runs over. She looks at Atreus. "She won't answer your question, she's mute by choice."
Atreus raises an eyebrow, "Well, first she gets pushed off, that's rare, and now she's a mute! You just get more interesting by the minute!"
I frown and sign to Katt, 'I think Atreus is greek.' Katt knows sign language because her brother is deaf.
Katt says back, "Maybe."
Atreus looks back and forth between us, "What did she say?"
Katt says, "She asked how old you are."
Atreus replies, "Seventeen."
I nod thoughtfully.
~ Later ~
Everyone has jumped/fallen and we are ready to go. The serious faced boy's name is Clyde Dooley and he will be helping us until we are sixteen, then Atreus takes over.
CHAPTER TEN
We have two years here of work and brutal punishments.
I was whipped and punched and beaten until I was almost dead more times than I can count for my mess-ups. I was relieved when they told us our two years were up.
I had messed up the most so I always had the worst of the punishments. My back was criss-crossed with cuts from getting whipped, I had a broken nose a black eye and a busted lip from being bullied by Clyde and the other initiates, and I had almost died from being beaten at least five times.
I had just gotten whipped yesterday and there was a really bad cut in the middle of my back, so on our way to our first day with Atreus, Griffen punched me right on that cut three times before I got there.
Atreus came up to me and Katt and said hello, he even remembered our names. "Rill, what happened to you?" he asked, touching the wounds on my face.
I winced, pulling away from his hand.
His eyes narrowed. "Clyde?"
I nodded and signed to Katt, "Tomorrow is my birthday."
Katt grinned, "I know that, silly!"
Atreus looked at everyone else, "Stage One is fights. You fight until your opponent gives up. We start now. Griffen and Andrew." The Terrible Triplets had joined Anonomay, and along with Griffen, they made my life suck.
CHAPTER ELEVEN
I watched the fight curiously, Griffen tackled Andrew and was punching him, but Griffen's face was bleeding all over the place.
Andrew flipped Griffen over, he got up and started kicking Griffen as hard as he could in the side.
Griffen cried out, "I surrender, you win, you win!"
Andrew stopped kicking and walked away, Griffen got up and hobbled out of the ring.
Atreus said, "Rill and Zach."
I walked out and Zach hit my cut on the way out there. I clenched my teeth but did nothing.
We were in the middle of the ring and Atreus said, "Begin."
Zach punched my stomach and, as I doubled over, he kneed me in the face. I fell over.
He started kicking me. I grabbed his leg and pulled his down, then I scrambled to my feet and kicked his head.
He cried out and protected his head.
I backed up so he could get to his feet. He shakily got up and I flew at him, bringing him to the ground, where I punched his face over and over again.
All of the fury I felt towards him came out in those punched and I didn't hear him surrender, I kept punching, my hands were covered in his blood.
I didn't stop until Atreus came over and grabbed me, lifting me in the air, taking me away from my tormentor.
Atreus looked at Riley, an assistant, and told him to take over. He told Katt to come with us.
Atreus took me to his quarters and had to hold me down to get me to calm down.
I blinked, wondering what happened, when I saw Katt, standing up against the wall, staring at me in horror. Then it all came to me. I looked at my hands, they were still bloody.
I washed my hands quickly. I turned and saw Atreus talking to a man in a lab coat.
Katt walked cautiously up to me and touched my arm, "Rill, can you hear me? It's Katt."
I looked at her and spoke for the first time since Ash dissappeared. I said, "I'm so sorry, Katt." It was barely a whisper, but she heard me.
She threw her arms around me, I realized she was crying, sobbing even. She managed to say, "It's okay Rill, it's okay, I forgive you."
Then, for the first time in a long time, I cried.
Katt sniffled and I did too, our faces red and puffy, and for the first time since my brother dissappeared/died I smiled.
CHAPTER TWELVE
I looked between the doctor, Atreus, and Katt and signed, 'I should-' then I spoke again, "I should...leave?" My lip trembled
Atreus sighed and said, "For the safety of others...Yes, we think you should leave."
I blinked back the tears, "leave as in...Forever?" I was talking normally, but to me, it felt as if I was just mouthing the words.
The doctor left us to figure this out.
As soon as the doctor was out the door, Katt burst into tears. "Atreus, please don't make her leave, Atreus!"
Atreus looked at Katt sadly. "I've made my decision."
I felt rage boiling up inside of me, "Why don't I get a say in this, huh? How come it's just you who makes this decision, and not anyone else?"
Atreus looks calm, even though I yelled in his face, "I make this decision because I know what is best for you, Rill."
All I did was yell at him again and run out of his room.
I ran down the many flights of stairs unknowingly going to a specific place. There is a waterfall that no one goes near because it is slippery and wet.
I am the only one who goes anywhere near it. There is a cave behind the water and natural steps leading to it. This is where I go when I am troubled, or sad, or just want to be alone. This is where I'm going now.
I start up the stairs, quickly and quietly, because everyone else is either working or training.
I get in the cave and look at what I have in here. I put one of my pillows and a couple of blankets out here once, it was a night that I really didn't want to be around people.
It is the same reason why I'm here now.
CHAPTER THIRTEEN
I fall asleep to the roar of the waterfall.
I have bad dreams all night about leaving and I wake up early and go to the library.
The library is just a big, gray building with stone shelves, but it has the most advanced computers designed.
I walk in and see the library bot standing there so I walk up and ask if they have anything about The Protector of Truth. The library not led me to a shelf with the oldest books I had ever seen.
It didn't take very long to find what I was looking for. A black portfolio with gold lettering on the front, the lettering says, 'The Protector of Truth.'
I picked it up and sat at a table to read.
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
'The Protector of truth is a title given to the most powerful Fyaeo ever born, they have had many other lives but the other forms they came in only lived to the age of three, when they got their full powers. When they died their powers were stored in the next form and when the powers go around all six factors six times, (starts in Anonamy, ends in Metanoeo) The Protector is born.
The Protector is destined to be in Anonamy since Anonamy was where they started. When The Protector gets extremely mad, all they hear is the thoughts and heart beat of whoever infuriated them.
The Protector can trust only three people with their secret, one finds out alone, two are told, they are The Holders of the Secret.'
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
The Protector of Truth. What Truth? I don't know what to do.
I hurry and go to training. Zach is there, but his wounds prevent him from participating.
People are giving me wary looks. Atreus comes over and tells me that I'm supposed to be gone.
I smile and tell him I refuse to leave. He sighs.
Atreus turns around, "George and Ell." They get in the ring. "Begin." Ell wins.
Chris and Daniella. Chris wins.
Samantha and Tammie. Tammie wins.
Henry and Miranda. Miranda wins.
Jack and Lanny. Jack wins.
Then I hear Zach say, "Hey, Zipper-Mouth, where's Ash-Tray?"
I look at him and say, "My name is Rill. My brother's name is Ash, not Ash-Tray. If you call him or me another name, I will not hesitate to kill you."
I saw him gulp and I smiled evilly.
CHAPTER SIXTEEN
My eyes are closed but I see things, I open them and I don't.
What is happening to me?
I open my eyes again. Nothing.
"Hi, Rill!" Katt.
"Katt, I can't see!" I practically shout.
"What? Let's get you to the doctor."
Katt starts rushing me down stairs and around corners.
I smell antiseptic, we are here.
"Doctor! Doctor, help! My friend can't see!"
I hear the Doctor telling Katt to calm down.
The Doctor takes me to the examination room and looks at my eyes. He clicks his tongue and tells me to wait for him to come back and walks out the door.
I can hear what they're saying.
Doctor: She needs bionic eyes.
Katt: WHAT?!?!
Doctor: I thought it would be better if you told her.
Katt: Fine, I will.
Katt walks in and says, "You need bionic eyes."
I say," Do the operation now."
Katt says she will, but is suprised, the Doctor comes in and sticks a needle in my arm. I get very tired.
I fall asleep.
((okay quick intermission if you made it this far you are very special and are much stronger than i am, but also why are you doing this to yourself. this last chapter was the most painful thing i've ever read and i've been through My Immortal. prepare to cringe even more in the following chapters. i'm so sorry for bringing this monstrosity into the world.))
CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
When I wake up and open my eyes, everything is clearer and my eyes can zoom in and out on things. It's extremely cool.
Katt walks in and gasps. "Oh. My. Gosh. That is so cool!"
I am confused. "What's cool?"
Katt leads me to a mirror and I see what she means.
My eyes, once green, are now iridescent. I was staring at my eyes, they are beautiful.
I look at Katt, "That is awesome!"
Katt looks at her watch. "Rill! We're late!"
We run down stairs, around corners, and into the "Ring Room."
Katt hits her forehead and pulls some sunglasses from her bag. They have extra dark lenses. "The Doctor said to put these on, your eyes will be sensitive for a while."
I slipped them on and my eyes immediately feel better.
I smiled and we walked around the corner in the hall.
Everyone looked at us when we walked in. Atreus looked at the sunglasses and raised an eyebrow. I smiled and waved.
I sat down at the table they set up for me. Atreus sat down beside me and asked, "What's up with the glasses, Rill?"
I lean back, "I have no idea what you're talking about."
He taps my sunglasses, "I think that you do," He smiles "and just for that," He raises his voice a bit "Rill and George!"
I raise my eyebrows.
George is already out there and shouts, "C'mon, we don't have all day!"
I walk out there and Atreus says, "Rill, sunglasses." I sigh, look down, and hand him my glasses. "Begin!"
I aim a kick at him and he grabs my foot, but I somehow take my other foot off of the ground, kick his leg out from under him, land on my hand, twist around, and get back to my feet, before I even know what's happening.
George was on the ground and he was holding his leg and he said, "I'm done, I'm done!"
I walk up to Atreus, take my sunglasses, and walk away.
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
Atreus stops me while I'm going to the waterfall, "Come to my quarters tonight, make sure no one sees you."
Then he turns around and goes back into the Ring Room. I smile and shake my head, then go to the waterfall.
As I'm walking, I hear a voice behind me say, "What's wrong with your eyes?"
I turn and see George standing there, looking at me, he walks closer, pulling my sunglasses off when he is close enough.
His eyes are fixed on mine, "Your eyes are beautiful. Why did you hide them in training?"
I smile, "Because they are sensitive right now."
George smiles back, "Do you think you could teach me that move you did?"
I grin widely, I can't help it, "Of course."
"Thanks, I could use that move out there."
George is still looking me in the eyes when he says, "Could you teach me now?"
I take him to a room that is used for strength training, but is empty right now.
We train for hours, and just when he's ready to give up, he does it.
He's breathing heavily, but he's proud. He looks at his watch, "It's getting late, I better get to bed. See you later."
He looks back at my eyes and stops breathing heavily. He leans in like he's going to kiss me, but changes his mind and hugs me instead. He smiles, "Let's do this again sometime."
I smile back, "I'd like that."
CHAPTER NINETEEN
I creep up to Atreus' room like he told me to. I knock quietly and he opens it quickly, pulls me in, and tears off my sunglasses.
He stares at my eyes intently for a few minutes and then whispers, "She has bionic eyes." Then, louder, "You have bionic eyes."
I nod, "Yes, I do. Is there a problem?"
He shakes his head, "When did that happen?"
I shrug, "This morning. I could see when I closed my eyes, but when they were open, I was blind."
He shakes his head, "Curious." He looks at my eyes, "Can I..." He trailed off.
I said, "Of course."
He moves closer, looking right in my eyes, he stares, and stares, then sees how close we're standing and backs up, laughing nervously. I get closer to him and hug him. I move away from him and breathe in deeply.
His face turns from happiness to concern.
I look him in the eyes, "I am The Protector of Truth."
He breaks eye contact and walks across the room he looks at me, "So now I'm a Holder of the Secret?" He punched a hole in the wall and turns to me, "You should go."
I leave, too shocked to understand what just happened. Why did he react that way?
CHAPTER TWENTY
I go to the initiate sleeping room and wake George up.
He blinks groggily, "Rill?"
I shush him, "I have to show you something. Bring two blankets and a pillow. Oh, and a change of clothes."
He looks confused but does what I ask. I walk towards the waterfall.
He was a bit reluctant to go near the waterfall but I convinced him eventually.
"This is my safe haven. Don't tell anyone about it. You're the only one who knows because I trust you."
He walks towards me and puts his hands on either side of my face, pulls me in, and asks if he can kiss me. I think it over and tell him he can if he wants to. He draws me in a bit more and right before our lips touch, he smiles.
Then he presses his lips to mine and suddenly I am aware of everything he feels and thinks. What he's thinking right now is Rill, Rill, Rill.
He abruptly pulls back with a gasp. He looks at me and tells me to put my sunglasses on and extract any memories of him seeing my eyes.
I am confused but I do what he says.
When I am done he looks at me, he can't see my eyes with his eyes or his mind.
He stares at me. He smiles and says, "My feelings for you are still there, so I was wrong about your eyes." He walks up and kisses me again and everything, from before rushes back to him. He pulls away. "I feel an emptiness in you." He says, "What factor did Ash go to?"
I look away and tell him that Ash dissappeared. Then I realize that Ash is probably dead. A tear slides down my cheek and soon I am collapsed on the ground sobbing, with George holding me, soothing me.
I cry myself to sleep that night.
CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
I wake up the next day still wrapped in George's arm on the floor. George stirs and looks at me.
I gently remove his arms and check my watch. We're going to be late! I put my hands in the little stream bubbling at the far end of the cave and splash my face with it.
George walks over and does the same. We get ready for the day.
"I am wondering about something," I say to George, "should we walk in together or not?"
He looks at me and says, "Why not?"
I sigh, "If we walk together, people will talk.:
He comes over to me, puts his hands on my sides, I put my hands on his neck, he smiles, and says, "Let them." Then he kisses me.
I look at him, "You see, that right there is why I like you."
George smiles and we walk to the Ring Room, talking and laughing, but nothing romantic.
We walk in and everyone stares t us, so tell him good bye and go sit in my chair. Atreus sits by me and calls the first fight.
"So, what was up when you came in, why were you with...him?"
"I showed him the waterfall cave." I said.
Atreus looked at me in disbelief, "You what?"
I smiled at him, "You heard me."
Atreus saw that the first fight was over and he called the next.
CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO
Atreus tols us we were done with the fights and posted the statistics.
I had the best overall score. When we all got out of the Ring Room, George caught up to me and asked if I would go with him to get a tattoo. I, of course, agreed to go.
We walk down to the tattoo parlor hand in hand, smiles on our faces. We walk in and George asks for Barney. Barney bursts in dramatically and says to George, "Ah, George, come with me." Then he takes George into the room that he had just came out of.
~ Later ~
George comes out of the room later, how much later, I don't know, but later.
George smiles and lifts up his shirt so I can see.
It's a big Anonamy fist over his belly button. I look at it for a few minutes, contemplating, when I say, "I want a tattoo."
I already know what I want.
CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE
My tattoo is big. It takes up my whole back.
My tattoo is of the waterfall. It goes all the way down my back and if I put my arms at my side it looks like the edge of the waterfall but when I spread my arms out like I don't want to touch my body, it looks like the top of the waterfall.
George was surprised when I told him what I got. He asked if he could see it.
"Um, no." I say.
"Man!" He grins.
We walk out of the tattoo parlor and see Zach and Andrew standing off to the side, I also see Katt and Atreus coming out of the clothing store. I focus on them and listen in.
Katt: There's something wrong with Rill.
Atreus. I know, first the eyes, and now she's hanging out with George of all people!"
Katt: I'm worried about her, maybe it would have been better for every body if she would have left when you told her to.
Atreus: There she is now! with George.
Katt: Let's change the subject.
The words they said hurt me. It felt like every time they said one of those things, they were stabbing me.
I made a decision right there: if they think they're worried about me now, wait until they see me tomorrow.
CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
I said goodbye to George and started toward the clothing store, I had a lot to do tonight.
~ Later ~
I am in the waterfall cave. I feel like a completely different person.
My pitch-black hair now has color in it. I have the colors of the rainbow all around my head, I got my nose pierced, and I got three more tattoos, but now they're on my stomach.
Around my belly button I got my name, Rill Masterson, written twice, and on either side of my belly button there is a symbol for a factor, one for Anonamy, one for Elpida.
I also bought new clothes that show a lot of my back.
George came to the waterfall caveafter he saw I wasn't in the initiate's room.
When he saw me, he backed up, "What happened to you?" he asked.
"I'm making a statement," I say proudly.
He chuckles, "Is the statement, 'I'm a lunatic', or something else?"
I scowl at him, "You are so mean."
He grins, "Once Anonamy, always Anonamy, I guess."
I smile, "I'm tired, I'm going to sleep."
CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE
I wake up and see George leaning over me, "Morning Sunshine!"
I can't help but smile. George leaves and I start getting ready for the day.
When I'm ready, I walk out of the cave and see George talking with his brothers, so I listen in, and what I hear confuses me.
Zach: George, the time is upon us.
George: What? Now?
Andrew: You knew this was coming, so it's time to suck it up.
Zach: Andrew is right , George. It's time to face the facts.
George: What about Rill?
Zach: Do you actually care about that freak?
George: Yes.
Zach: Does she care about you?
George: Well, yeah, I guess.
Zach: Then make her stop caring.
Then, Zach and Andrew walk away, leaving George standing there looking as if he had gotten run over by the train.
I walked out of the cave, a smile plastered on my face, "Hey, George, let's go to training,"
He fake smiled and off we went.
CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX
(the final, unfinished chapter)
I felt an explosion of pain as Chris kicked me in the face.
I heard a crack. 'My nose just broke.' Was the first thought I had.
I fell with a thud to the cold floor, blood pouring out of my nose.
Chris leaned down and smiled at me. It was an ugly, leering smile.
It was after training, which was crossbow and longbow practice. I had become used to bullying, being a Crack Head and all.
I suddenly only saw red.
((that's where it ends and if you read all of this, congrats. why you put yourself through this, idk, but congrats. i will never finish this, ever, unless it's a total crack ending, so idk just imagine Rill and the gang live happily ever after))
You know that one ask where you posted that segment of the 'Divergent FYAEO' yeah anyway sorry to bother you but oh my god I need more of that
oh god okay. so first let's just get the main character names. Rill Masterson is the main character who is based off Tris, then there's Katt Peters and Atreus Hades. Rill starts dating this boy named George Fields, who is a triplet and whose brothers are named Andrew and Zach. Rill is a selective mute at the beginning of the story, but starts talking again after switching 'factors' which was my clever way of saying factions without saying factions.
speaking of factions, let's list those. There's Anonamy, Kalos, Chrestotes, Eirene, Elpida, and Metanoeo. Rill grows up in Elpida, and they're known for being hopeful i guess?
i'm gonna put the first full chapter under a cut because oh god
'''CHAPTER ONE
I wake up. It is the day of The Test. My brother and I have prepared all of our lives for this. We are in Elpida, our section is ravaged, but we are The Hopeful. We see the good side of everything that happens.
My father pokes his head in the door and smiles, "Big day today! Come down stairs, breakfast is ready."
I walk downstairs and Ash is already sitting at the table eating cereal, as I walk in he grins his happy grin and says, "Hey Rill, are you gonna talk today, or will I just have to use our sibling telepathy to communicate again?"
I grin back and sign that I will not talk today. Oh! I knew I was forgetting something! I am mute by choice, so my family understands sign language, they do not sign to me, since I can hear them, but they do read sign language, so everything is fine.
'Are you excited?' I sign.
Ash sighs, "I'm excited and nervous Rill. How about you?"
I nod my head in agreement, 'It's scary to think about it, so I try not to.'
Ash raises his eyebrow at me and asks, "Yes, but where's the rainbow?" This is a common saying among The Hopeful, meaning there is a good side to everything and you're only seeing the bad.
I sign back, 'We've made it this far.'
Our dad starts to usher us out the door, saying, "Well, you can't take The Test if you talk all day, so get going!" '''
i still can't believe i wrote this.
