“Who is this?”
Alec looked up from the floor, surrounded by all the boxes and boxes and took the picture that Max was pointing towards.
Something cracked inside his chest at the photo.
Fuck.
He looked gorgeous. He always did.
“Someone I love.”
“Love?” Max arched a brow.
Alec nodded his head, “I never got to finish loving him. So, it’s love. Instead of loved. Always will be.”
Max’s face contorted in something like pain and he sat back on the bed, his face in his hands.
“What?” Alec asked his son.
“I’m going to college.”
Alec rolled his eyes, “As someone who is paying thousands of dollars in tuition, I vaguely remember.”
And suddenly, Max burst out crying and Alec instantly went to sit by his side.
“How are you going to live alone dad?”
