Ferry To Fyn by Tony
Fynshav by Tony Via Flickr: At The Eastern end of Als island, the choice is either to return West or catch a ferry. About 25 years ago while visiting I took the ferry to the smaller island of Ærø. Today it was a ferry over to the larger island Fyn, English spelling; Funen. (rhyming with spoon). Ferries are frequent and not too expensive. The 12Km ride is pretty quick.
Next Stop Alslinjen by Tony Via Flickr: On The ferry between Fynshav and Alslinjen, crossing the Sydfynske Øhav, English South Funen Archipelago. The Sound is part of the Baltic Sea. The depth of the sea is typically between 20 and 30 meters. The archipelago includes some 55 low-lying Danish islands. We sailed on a ship called Fynshav run by the Al line (formerly AlsFærgen ).
