Besides the opening ceremony, the other main attraction on Friday night at G-Fest XXVl was the costume parade. As in past years, it’s been split into two nights: Friday is for costumers 16 and under, Saturday night is for those 16 and older. And like every other costume parade, it’s led off by the official mascot of G-Fan and G-Fest, the one and only G-Fantis!

In the Dojo Studios area of G-Fest 24, where they gave costume construction help , as well as demonstrated ways to add special effects to your videos, there were several full-body kaiju suits ready for the costume parade.
This is G-Fantis, the official mascot of G-Fan/G-Fest (’cause Godzilla, for numerous legal reasons, is off limits). This was a great costume that was almost 7 feet tall! I didn't’t get to actually hold the costume, but despite being constructed mainly of foam I imagine it weighs close to 75 pounds.
