Some of the books I've read this month (APRIL 2021)
Taking Flight by Siera Maley
Lauren, city girl whose actress mother recently passed away, was shipped to live in Northern Georgia with a pastor and his family. Things didn't go as planned when she fell in love with the daughter of the pastor. The story tackled trauma, abandonment, religious trauma, and homophobia.
Breaking Character by Lee Winter
Two Hollywood actresses had to fake date each other. Need I say more???
Those Who Wait by Haley Cass
They found each other through dating app. Sutton is looking for true love, Charlotte is only looking for a hookup because she needs to focus on her political career. But Sutton really like Charlotte so she proposed for them to be friends with benefits. I loved both characters, it was really fun to read.
Just for Show by Jae
Psychologist with OCD, Claire, needs someone to pretend as her fiancée so she hired an actress who is the total opposite of her ideal girl. Loved the banter on this one.
Who'd Have Thought by G. Benson
Neurosurgeon Samantha hired ER Nurse Hayden to marry her. I'm not sure if it can be consider as enemies to lovers but the banter was there. Hayden was really funny, made me laugh at times.
The Gravity Between Us by Kristen Zimmer
A cute bestfriends to lovers story. Both characters had their own POV, it was really entertaining.
She Drives Me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen
Enemies to lovers. Basketball player and cheerleader. One bed trope. Kelly is one of my fave wlw book authors and she didn't disappoint.
Love is for Losers by Wibke Brueggemann
It was one of the funniest books I've ever read!!! I didn't like the main character at first, she was really annoying but as the story goes, I learned to love her and I actually saw myself on her. We both hate everyone lol. It was written in diary format, I thought I won't like it but ended up loving it a lot. It was a very fun read. Strongly recommended.
A Dark and Hollow Star by Ashley Shuttleworth
I LOVED NAUSICAÄ!!! This one just became my favourite fae book. It tackled a lot of issues and all the main characters are queer! It totally deserve the hype that ACOTAR and Folk of the Air got. I can't wait for the second book. Very strongly recommended!
