Decolonize Rap's Racism and Native Appropriation: T.I. and Hustle Gang

2014 is alive and racist. Just look at the evidence. 

UPDATE: Here's the text of a letter we sent to Hustle Gang today

Hi,

We recently came across the G.D.O.D. mixtapes and the apparel being sold on the Hustle Gang site and wanted to call attention to the fact that the imagery you are selling is racist and it appropriates Indigenous culture. Indigenous People are not cartoons to be caricatured or mascots for your merchandise.

We ask that you remove the offensive items from your catalog, change the cover art for the mixtapes, and consider the implications of mocking and degrading Native American culture as blatantly as you are doing.

Cela fait un peu plus d'un an que Grand Hustle a sorti son mixtape collaboratif G.D.O.D. (Get Dough Or Die). Le 2 septembre, T.I. a dévoilé le art cover du second mixtape collaboratif du label. Il n'y a toujours pas de date de sorti d'annoncée pour G.D.O.D 2, mais le dévoilement du cover nous indique que le projet est bientôt complet.

Got a feeling Hustle Gang and Young money are going to finish the year strong. Glad I copped that black and gold Hustle Gang T-Shirt when they dropped earlier this year. Keep It On Shuffle.
