congrats on the singing!!!
hehehe yeah...i was shaking really bad but i made so many good memories that i’d say it was really worth it even if i didnt sound like some beyonce. In fact I will list some of the things that happened tonight:
- Before a performance, one of the singers was sliding down the hand rail of a staircase, ROLLED OFF AND HIT THE STAIRS ON THE OTHER SIDE. He later performed ‘Stuck In the Middle With You’ with remarkable accuracy despite it all
- After my performance I tripped over a table and my friend stole some handcream out of the teachers desk, poured too much, poured it on me, resulting in a wild chase with the guitarist of another band as i try to also cause him suffering with the nasty ass handcream. I chased him down two hallways and a stairwell before i got caught on a door i couldnt open.
- The third last performance, half my friend group randomly stood up and booked it out of the room and down the hallway while i run in pursuit. I hung back with one of my friends and I’m asking whats going on. He replies “Theyre doing a surprise performance” and im like wtf no way. So we run back so we can film this shit. They get on stage and a kid sits down at the piano and begins playing DONT STOP BELIEVING AND IN AN IMPROV PERFORAMNCE THAT GOT CUT OFF AFTER THREE MINUTES, MY FRIENDS SANG DONT STOP BELIEVING IN FRONT OF A CROWD OF PEOPLE. HALF OF THEM DIDNT KNOW THE WORDS. And before you ask, YES i filmed it.
- For the short time I was in the crowd, I looked over to find a 50 year old woman in a fur vest holding up her phone, which had a picture of her with her arm around a half naked glistening cowboy as her phone background. I did not know what to do with the information.
Those were the main highlights but it was just really fun and I’m really glad i stuck through with it
