Hey so I have this head canon that Ziva helped tony shaved his beard when they were Israel and you know it was probably after their first round of sex and they’re joking and just being them also I got this idea by you’re “shaving” fic and I loved it

Oh goodness I just got an ask and remembered I have a whole bunch in my inbox. From like forever ago. SHIT I AM SORRY.

Anyway.

I’ve heard this one before, and it’s not my favorite, though I can see why people like it. It’s very intimate and there’s a high level of trust that must be present for a man to allow a woman to shave him. Especially when that woman is Ziva, who has a penchant for knives and stabbing things.

I just hate the beard shaving thing in general, because it’s like he left that part of himself in Israel with her. It’s like shedding that hair was also like shedding her. I’m not sure if I’m explaining that well. It’s like, here’s Tony, this man who is with Ziva and they’re together in that moment and it’s this thing that is them and beautiful and perfect. And that man doesn’t come home with him. He stays there. And I kind of hate it for its symbolism. I just wish he had waited until he got home, stayed in that moment a while, and then realized, “Well, Gibbs isn’t gonna put up with the facial hair so I guess I have to let it go.” I don’t know. I just… I’m not a fan.

I have this headcanon that Tony has a box just full of pictures of Ziva ( and him , and everyone mostly Ziva ) over the years and maybe sometimes he would take the box out and look at them and think about her and ( I’m making myself cry ) miss those times and i don’t know where going with lol Also I miss your fics

That’s a good headcanon. I’m not sure I share it because I don’t think Ziva was really the type to want her picture taken a lot. Or for Tony to have them lol because you know how she reacted to the bikini pics! (Though I’m pretty sure that had more to do with the fact that Tony was being a creep than anything else.)

And trust me, I miss my fics too. I haven’t had any motivation to write in months. I really wish I did, because I have a lot of ideas, but writing just isn’t happening.

After the whole Jeanne arc. when do you think tony started falling and paying attention to ziva more? When do you think he finally moved on or accepted the whole thing with Jeanne?

I haven’t watched episodes in so long so it’s so hard to say, but I think it was - rather unfortunately - when she started dating Michael. Because now she wasn’t available to him anymore (like he owned her or some shit, but whatever) and now he’s in real danger of not “getting the girl.”

And that was also when he really started acting like a jerk to her again. We saw it a little in the Judgment Day eps but when she came back from Israel and he figured out she was dating someone, he became insufferable which only served to push her even further away. Tony was a Mess, lmao.
