Planing the ebony to 17mm thick. Hard stuff and it's gumming up the soles of my wooden planes (a few strokes on sandpaper/float glass and it's gone). And yes, a small crack here and there at the end grain. Plan is to do my best when laying out dovetails to make sure they're in the waste. But this ebony is gorgeous stuff and there's even a bit of a curl in some of the pieces 😊 #wood #woodworking #gabonebony #handtools #jewelrycabinet #workslow #getzen
