kallias found her on the run from fisherman back when he was js a little merling separated from home himself ,, upon safeguarding her in a cave , he learns she lost her family during the attack . with both of them carrying the same loneliness , kallias promised to nurture her as his sister nd named her kalani !! they used to play house when they were younger but it always made her cry cs it was so insensitive
she grew up to be quite the prick who has a knack for gold . she dreams to be a pirate .

these guys can shapeshift to adapt to land but it comes with some consequences ,,
dry land (esp in the heat) is paiiiinful . they prefer to leave the ocean during the night to prevent that but they can sometimes be very clusmy runners . also cats look at them weird
