GAD‘s original designs for a hotel project in Cappadocia have been featured in a set of new designs created by GAD’s visualisation team. Interior design by GAD for the project in Turkey’s Cappadocia created a synthesis of contemporary design and the ancient Christian and cave dwellings of the region. Manipulates Geometric Slabs for Privacy in Forest Villa . Situated between the Caspian Sea and Si Sangan forest, Iranian firm @madoarchitects developed a private residential project dedicated to the clients' specific request of absolute privacy. . The Sisangan Villa project focused on the site's layout, referral to typical vernacular architecture, and geometric manipulation to create a dynamic structure of intersecting concrete walls and glass facades. . The initial design started with a square with 4 walls, bounding the construction site from all sides.The team then detached the square’s sides from their intersection and rotated them, forming the project's interior space and allowing light to enter from all sides. . This manipulation of geometric forms reinforced a connection between the architecture, landscape, and sunlight, blurring the boundaries between inside and out. The oblique walls were also implemented in the design to structurally support the roof, as well as create a sense of privacy and enclosure. . #repost • @gadfoundation Xiangjiang FFC Marketing Display Center is a 2,000-square-meter, mixed use cultural and recreation center located in Changsha, China. Standing at 16 meters, the building is comprised of three stories with two undulating, opposing terraces that provide shade for people standing under the awnings. Inspired by its location, the project’s façade system mimics the nearby Xiangjiang River’s movements with its sinuous shapes. Accessible via three separate entryways, visitors and employees will find appropriate amenities readily available for education, recreation, and productivity.
