One of my side gigs is facilitating an after school program every Wednesday called Gadget Heads where I teach kids about electricity, magnets, motors, simple circuits, etc. The curriculum was developed by my colleague Karen Giacopuzzi who runs an amazing maker space in Silver Spring, MD called Gadget Lab. Here are some models she made to demonstrate three different kinds of motors (gear, servo and step). I wanted to make a cool video showing them off but apparently the radio sensor on the middle one was interfering with the audio of my phone hence all those crazy popping sounds.
