the night of,
while not a viper, suspicions likely wouldn't take long to fall upon him. that's what made the meeting so damn irritating. pacing back and forth, the shark wheeled on a hooded figure when they did finally decide to arrive.
"took long enough," he ground out; whether they heard him or not, gaetan couldn't tell. all he was given in response was five regally sealed letters, and one simple instruction: to deliver them.
preferring not to cut off his current supply of coin, gaetan decided to use the current distress as cover for the work. the longer he could remain undetected, the better for him -- witcher work was witcher work, and he'd already been so far transformed for the part. not to mention, withdraw from the potions didn't exactly sound ideal...
with numerous investigations underway, the 'unaligned' witcher set about to leaving the letters in offices of import. finding their ways to hands too close to royalty to risk being caught with them, without turning them in.
and thus, (one of) argonia's spies in metia would be one to deliver their revelation into the modern era of peace. hopefully, without revealing much of himself, in the meantime.
