"I tore through the scripts, it's really, really rare in this day and age to get all the scripts to sort of land like a monolith on your desk, and so I loved reading them, and I felt something wake up that I used to feel as a boy reading stories about knighthood and chivalry that seems to have been asleep for some time."
Bertie Carvel interviewed by The Collider about being part of the epic world of ASOIF and that fateful/epic ending to S1E5.
"The more I reflect on it, and the more I talk about it, the more I realize that there is something really important about those stories right now. We should be telling stories about how the ordinary people matter, and what you do and say matters, and standing up for what's right matters..."
Gaggle;
This is why I'll always believe in trusting the process.
That Baelor riding in late for the Trial of Seven was because he was waiting, waiting for someone to actually do the right thing for Dunk. And when no one rose up to be his champion then Baelor knew that it was actually up to him - because he knew Dunk was in the right yet left unheard because he is not of noble birth and high status.
Baelor exists in a superstrata that's been owned by his family for generations, built above the noble families in the Seven Kingdoms. And it takes guts to step down from that and side with someone he barely knows, to defend Dunk from false accusations made by his own family.
Baelor took a gamble here as well - not to save face in behalf of his family but because he could see the sincerity in this simple hedge knight, he had faith in someone of low birth but is also someone who refuses to compromise his kind heart and beliefs even under the immense weight of Targaryen reputation and privilege.
In essence, that must have been refreshing and inspiring to see for someone like Baelor who is surrounded by Yes!men and people who couldn't give a fuck about right or wrong - because they'd been handed everything since the day they were born.
I’ve been playing Hades and every so often I think about the au my friend made where Hades and Persona 3 take place in the same universe and Thanatos and Ryoji are the same person so it’s basically just Thanatos, Nyx, and Orpheus vanishing for a while and then showing back up and Zagreus’s first thought is “Than why do you look more like a twink than usual?”
Also thinking about my gaggles au and Ryoji swearing to Minato that he has a super hot boyfriend named Zagreus who’s “from Greece” but Minato can’t meet him because Zagreus “is grounded” so Minato doesn’t believe him and thinks it’s just Ryoji’s poor attempt at trying to make him jealous
Meet the Gaggles! After so much of the silliness levels rising some of the gags came to live, creating these new creatures that live happily among the toons!
