u can talk about jay’s issues in skybound without undermining or downplaying nya’s . you can also talk about skybound without turning nya’s issues into jay’s . her death traumatized him, yeah, but it traumatized her too, to a much stronger degree . SHE died . she felt her heart rate slowing until it stopped completely . she had to lie there waiting to die because she knew that it would inevitably happen and that there was nothing she could do about it
nya being wed to nadakhan also was not about jay . she was a teenager being forced into a marriage with a grown man that intended to make her life hell along with the lives of her friends . she had to pretend to be in love with him just to buy time . and then her autonomy was stripped away from her and her consciousness was replaced by a woman that did not deserve to be in her body . it obviously scared everyone , but it happened to nya , SHE was the most terrified out of anyone . it’s horrible to even imagine you being unable to control yourself and having to watch your body be utilized by someone else while you remain helpless. it isnt fair to act like her traumas affected the others more than they affected her . i’m not saying the others WEREN’T affected , but … come on . they’re her issues
