Okay... I would n e v e r in my life consider doing that. First of all, because her art is one of the most gorgeous things I’ve laid eyes upon on this website, it doesn’t need recoloring at all. Her colouring for her own art perfectly fits her art style, it’s one many colourers would dream to achieve, myself included.
Secondly, because you can’t just take someone’s art and recolour it in any way you please. Of course, this very much depends on the artist but most of them, colourers & graphic makers included, do not enjoy when people steal their work and edit over it. There are some who allow this, but believe me it’s rare.
Thirdly, and this should be the case for every artist, colourer, graphic or gif-maker: I have tons of respect for her. I consider Rusky one of my dear mutuals who I talk to from time to time. Me taking her art would be as if I walked over mid-(gaming-related)-conversation and slapped her in the face. Maybe not that dramatic, but that’s how I would feel if one of my pals took my work, scribbled over it and posted it on their blog. It makes me sad enough to see her art stolen all over the internet, you don’t need people over-editing it as well.
The only instance in which I would colour her or any other artist’s work is if they wanted to collab with me, which I’m all up for.
I know you probably didn’t want to say something bad and probably weren’t aware of this when you wrote that ask, but please do think about what others and I have already said several times in this fandom about stealing and editing art. This is not meant to accuse or insult you in any way, but rather me trying to inform you and being the patronizing teacher idiot they train be to be in university :’)
Hello again and welcome to another chapter of When the moon shines :) As as a reminder, this fan fiction came from partially my imagination, but was initially created due to gajeelsenpai or better known as rboz werewolf au that can be found on her blog and twitter, inspiring me. So this whole fan fiction is dedicated to her, and I hope she continues to like it.
This chapter is 7,109 words long, contains detailed fight scenes, lightly romantic scenes and forms of sexual abuse, so I shall put a TW on this chapter. Please be warned before you read this chapter, that you might be triggered by the sexual abuse scene. Also this chapter contains religious content, please do not be offended by what is written. This is a fan fiction after all.
Part 1 < Read part one here.
Enjoy.
As it turned out, one of the other many rules at the Guild was that each Supernatural hunter team, had to share an apartment to save money. So when Levy showed him around the Guild when he woke up, he was more than surprised to find most of the stuff from his old apartment in a two bedroom, furbished apartment in the underground organisation.
Levy smiled kindly up at him as he slowly walked into the home. She must’ve thought he was nervous of his new lifestyle, or maybe how he would have to leave everything else behind. But the truth was, he was just worried that he couldn’t stop himself from pursuing his natural instincts. To mate.
To mate with Levy… Or at least just touch her for now.
The place smelt just like her, that orange blossom and lavender fragrance that made his blood boil in the best yet annoying way possible. The place itself however, looked a lot better than his old place ever had. Most of the apartment was painted a pleasant fresh green colour, different paintings of mathematical formulas and Leonardo Di Vinci works hung in their own respectable places on the wall. Bookshelves were everywhere, there was even a small one in the kitchen, next to the dining table. Each bookshelf was overflowing, Gajeel on a hunch guessed there was over seven hundred books in the apartment. He dreaded to think how long it would take for him to read them all.
The living room was simple enough, it had a semi-modern television, a sofa, a one seater and three bookshelves crammed into it… but it was comfortable. The whole place looked and felt comfortable to him, and whether or not it was due to his imprinting on Levy, he had no idea.
He wished he knew more about how imprinting worked on the werewolf body, he wished a lot of things, like his old man not suddenly disappearing so he could know a lot more about his own species.
“Hey Gajeel, are you alright?” Levy’s voice soothed him out of his deep thought. He looked down at her, smiling weakly. She walked up to him, touching his forehead with the back of her hand. She pursed her lips and mumbled, “Either your too hot because you’re a werewolf, or you’re too hot because you’re still healing.”
“Probably just the first.” He muttered, he couldn’t help but stare at her. Assess her body now it wasn’t in scrubs, but in her everyday hunter’s outfit. Her hair was up today, he could see the nape of her neck which he couldn’t help but wish he could kiss. The headband she wore pulled back her messy fringe enough for him to see her face properly. Her eyes looked brighter today, the stunning hazel orbs she adorned were something remarkable, something he couldn’t fathom. Each time he stared into them, he found himself struggling to swim in the waves of emotions that pummelled his heart.
Her body was something he thought he’d never fall in love with. Usually whenever he watched porn, the woman was always curvaceous. Large breasts, wide hips and a great looking ass. However, Levy was slender, and had small breasts. Her ass was large and so were hips. But she was short, and the complete opposite to him.
And yet, he was in love with that opposite.
She smiled wide and chuckled, “What’re you staring at?”
He blinked, looking away and shrugging. “I think i’ll take a nap in my room, if that’s alright.”
“Well of course!” She grinned, that heart racing grin. “We’ll have to leave in a few hours to get your guild mark tattooed onto you, and also I will have to do a small questionnaire, just so we have some information on your record.” She walked past him and opened a door leading to a small hallway. She pointed to one door and shrugged, “We’ll have to share a bathroom, but I promise, unlike most girls I do not take that long in the shower or in getting ready.” She chuckled, “That’s my room, if you need anything just knock I’m sure i’ll be in there.” And then she turned to the final door, she opened it and looked up at him excitedly, “And this is your room.”
He stepped in and looked around. It wasn’t a huge room, but it sure wasn’t as cramped as his old room in his crappy old apartment. The walls were a dark blue, his bed was large enough for his big body, and there was a small TV and a bookshelf. But what caught his eye, was the box on his bed. On further exception, he realised that all of his clothes and more sentimental belongings were inside.
He looked at Levy who was lingering at the door, she smiled kindly and shrugged, “I went to your apartment whilst you slept and picked up anything that I thought you’d need.” She chuckled, “I hope you’re tidier whilst you live here.”
He blushed and cleared his throat, he just hoped she didn’t look under his bed. There was enough junk and porn magazines under there to disgust the most dirtiest of minds.
She blushed and looked to the floor, “Well I will… uh… I’ll leave you to it.” She smiled again, “Call if you need anything.” She grabbed the door handle and started to close it.
He didn’t know why he did it, he initially blamed the wolf inside of him that wanted to touch her at least once. However, he realised that it was just ‘him’ that wanted to touch her. He just wanted to touch her skin.
His hand easily wrapped around her wrist. She was caught off guard, shocked, she looked to her wrist and then to him. Alert she went to reach for something in her pocket. Probably a knife of sorts. He sighed, pulling her closer to him and letting go of her. She looked confused for a moment before he carefully took her hand and brought it to his lips. Kissing her skin made his ‘other self’ a lot more greedy. The scent on her skin sent them both crazy.
He should’ve stopped there, but he continued anyway.
He turned her hand over and kissed the centre of her palm and then, stupidly, he bit softly on the curve of her wrist, where her pulse hammered underneath.
He knew he needed to stop, before his eyes showed his arousal. It was one of the annoying parts in not being human. Your eyes always gave away your emotions. And in a werewolf’s case, being aroused made your eyes go red and your canines sharpen. Something of which, he didn’t need Levy to see just yet.
He let go of her hand, she looked so curious as she looked up at him. Her eyes glittering in embarrassment mixed with something that told him that she sort of liked what he did. He could’ve made the move then, pin her up against the wall, and take her. But he couldn’t move, not when she looked at him like that.
She drew a shaky breath and swallowed, “Um… what was… what was that?”
He blushed, “A way werewolves say thank you… it is a custom you learn to give to someone when they show you genuine kindness.” He mumbled deeply, it wasn’t a lie. It was partially the reason why he did it in the first place. The other reason was to get closer to her, and to taste her skin against his lips and tongue.
This imprinting this makes me feel like a creep!
She nodded and smiled, breaking him from his short lived embarrassment. She sighed deeply in relief and chuckled, “There I thought you were making a move on me!” she laughed, “That would be awkward, right?”
He bit his cheek and nodded, “Sure would.” He turned around and grabbed his towel, “I’ll ditch the nap, I need to shower. We can get my tattoo afterwards, ok?”
“Oh… sure!” She raised a brow, looking over her shoulder as he walked past her. “I’ll be waiting.”
He didn’t answer, he couldn’t answer. Because he knew it wouldn’t be a human voice he would answer in. He knew what he would see in the mirror of the bathroom before he saw it. Red eyes, his canines sharp, his fingernails starting to lengthen.
I need to get it together. If you’re going to work here Gajeel, you need to get it together!
Lucy was asleep, her face relaxed as she tangled herself subconsciously in her bedsheets. Her steady breathing that occasionally purred into soft harmonious snores was constant. It made his heart hammer a little more steadily to see her so comfortable and so at peace. He watched her as he laid naked beside her, reading a magazine as the time passed on.
He couldn’t help but feel like a lucky person whenever Lucy allowed him into her arms. Allowed him to undress her and kiss her naked skin, to make her moan as he licked and sucked her tenderly aroused flesh. He couldn’t help but feel like he most luckiest vampire to ever have lived.
Especially when she let him bite her.
Her blood was a delicacy, he had enough self control to treat it as such and not drink greedily from her. The first time, it almost ended in him pinning her down and turning her, or at least drink her dry. But it was how she moaned and rocked her hips against his groin, how she whispered soft words of affection that made him stop. Every time after that, he was easier to pull away once he had a few gulps.
She let him do this to her, at first he was confused as to why. Usually, Hunters wouldn’t dare sleep with their Supernatural partner. There had been a few cases, but never in a million years did Natsu think he’d be the one that Lucy would choose to loose every ounce of her innocence with.
He wasn’t complaining of course, he had been in love with her for a long time. Every ounce of her being tantalised and sizzled his soul. And when he had found out she was his partner, he thought he could live with it just being like that until the day she died. He would protect her and be happy, even if she ended up marrying someone else. Having kids with someone else. Dying and being buried next to someone else.
But she surprised him.
She was only eighteen when she came to his room that day. It was late, and he was busy doing paperwork from their last case. He didn’t sleep so it never bothered him, Lucy meanwhile usually slept solidly for eight hours a day. So of course… it jolted him to hear her open her bedroom door and creep to his.
When he had opened that door, he wasn’t expecting her to be in her silk dressing gown. He thought maybe he was playing his music too loud, or maybe she had a nightmare. But when he asked her what was wrong, she didn’t say anything, instead she slowly let that dressing gown drop to the floor like silk puddle. She was naked, her curvaceous body looking stunning under the dim light of the room. Her nipples hardening in the cold chill, and her cheeks going red as he stood there - staring at her - Admiring her.
He remembered feeling suddenly nervous. He had lived for five hundred years, he had slept with whores and some rich and famous females. But never once had he been in the position of being in love with someone he was about to be with romantically, never once had he made love to them.
She was so… innocent. He knew she’d never been with anyone at that point, her body was chaste and untouched… by another person. She had touched herself, she had pleasured himself, that he knew. But she had never seen another man naked, touched him or been with him.
So her choosing him made his body suddenly feel ironically alive.
“Why’re you just staring?” She whispered.
“Because I am shocked that you’re naked at my door at the middle of the night.” He smirked, pulling her in by her hips and whispering softly. “Are you sure about this?
She looked at him as if he was an idiot. She had known him since she was seven years old. And he always knew she had a crush on him. She chuckled and ran her hands up his chest and around his neck. “Need I answer, Natsu?”
And so it happened. Not often, but it happened all the same. Every now and then she would show up his door, or call him to hers and they would make love for as long as they could handle. They would talk and laugh and secretly plan a life that they could never have together.
Now she was twenty four, and it was adamant to Natsu how much more serious she was about those dreams.
“What if one day we just run away?” She whispered one night, sweat still glistening against her skin from their hot summer night escapade in her room. “What if I steal money from my dad and we just run away?”
He rolled to his side and smiled down on her, “You know you do not want to leave this life, Lucy.”
“I want you…” She whispered. “I can only have you until I die, and that is becoming closer as each second passes. I want to love you, marry you, have your goddamn children if that is at all possible and die a happy person… instead of hiding behind the fact that the man I love is someone who… well, I partially control.” She sighed, “And someone who will surpass my lifespan… well possibly indefinitely.”
He sighed and cupped her cheek, kissing her softly. “We can’t run away… we can never run away. This life has us by the horns, Lucy. I want what you want, but for now… it is impossible to gain.”
She sobbed against his lips, “I want that day to come. Now. Right now.”
“In this world, in this bed, in this apartment. It has.” He smiled and kissed her once more.
He did not know why that day had brought those memories to mind, not at first anyway. Once he thought about it, the reasoning became more abrupt than he first thought. It was plain and simple to his eyes now, that a few Teams within the guild had become abnormally closer to each other.
For instance, Gray has become a lot more protective of Juvia. The man was no casanova in the sense of romance, or had the knowledge of how to seduce a woman, yet in his own way he had grown closer to Juvia more and more. He could tell that they had been together at least once. The scent, the way Juvia’s cheeks blushed whenever he complimented her fighting skill, and the way that Gray stilled and glared at any man who spoke to Juvia.
And then… him. The werewolf. Gajeel had become rather bashful as soon as Levy entered the infirmary that morning. The way he looked at her was different to how he had looked at Lucy or even Erza. It was as if Levy… suddenly changed his old world into a new one.
Natsu suddenly had the thought in his head, the reasoning behind the newbies infatuation of Levy. “He’s imprinted on the poor girl.” He chuckled softly, looking to Lucy and smiling wonkily. She was waking up.
“Natsu? What’s up?” She mumbled sleepily.
He shifted and curled her into his arms and whispered, “Nothing important.”
“You think that Gajeel has imprinted on Levy, right?” She whispered against his skin.
He shrugged, “Just a thought…” He trailed, “it would explain why when they walked through the guild earlier that they basically were hip to hip. Poor Levy of course couldn’t tell, but he… he couldn’t leave her side.” He sighed deeply, “Yes it is safe to say that the idiot has imprinted on her.”
“Is that dangerous?” Lucy said, leaning on her elbow, her eyes suddenly alight.
He smirked and touched her cheek, he placed small kisses on her neck and whispered slowly, “Only as dangerous as this…”
“What happens if a werewolf makes love to a human or another werewolf they’ve imprinted with?” Lucy said, slowly moaning as Natsu toyed with her.
He chuckled against her skin, “Then the imprinting is sealed, Gajeel will not be able to leave her for too long without feeling pain. Gajeel’s needs to be a wolf will grow… in the sense of needing his partner. His Beta. The need to start their own little pack in that cramped apartment will be beyond his own strength. I am surprised that we aren't hearing howls of pleasure right now, the bastard has personal restraint, I give him that.” He grinned as he nibbled her skin, “Meanwhile I have no restraint.”
Lucy moaned and pulled him on top of her, “Neither do I.”
It had been three days. Gajeel had gained his mark and himself and Levy became the new Team 6 of the guild. He was given a couple of sets of hunter like clothing. Black fitted shirts and vests, khaki trousers that were fitted so they wouldn’t catch on things as easily and loose fitted trousers. Combat boots and jackets that apparently lowered the amount of cold you felt and also protected you from rain and sleet. Guns, some AutoMag 3’s, AR-18 Rifle and a tranquilliser rifle. He was finally given a curved dagger that looked deadly to even look at.
And when he asked what kind of metal it was, Erza Scarlet just smiled at him, “Don’t cut yourself now, that would be painful for you.”
They gave me a blade made of Holy Silver… some welcoming present that is.
Gajeel thought that they wouldn’t put him out front just yet, that he would need some training before he went out and did his job. However, the same night he got the weapons, Levy walked up to him with a piece of paper in her hand.
“A mission,” She sighed deeply. “Not overly hard, possibly, but it will take some planning and concentration to execute properly.”
“What is it?” He asked, they sat at their kitchen table as Levy pulled out her tablet and showed him.
“Three weeks ago we heard a call on the police transmission that a family of six were bludgeoned to death and partially eaten by a monster. The same night, a family of three went through the same thing. A week later, the same thing happened to a family of five, and a family of two.” She pointed to a news clipping on her tablet screen, “And last night… it happened again. A family of eight who were on vacation, and a family of four… the wife that family was pregnant with the forth at the time.”
Gajeel winced and sighed, “Humans being eaten is an odd one… Werewolves do not eat humans, unless they’re hostile ones. Ones that from when they were pups were taught to hunt for human flesh other than animal ones. But they’re so rare I hardly think it would be one.” He rubbed his eyes and leaned back in his chair, “Do we have pictures?”
“Of the bodies? Yes.” She pressed something on the screen, suddenly he saw bodies everywhere.
He leaned forward and examined them, spotting something almost instantly. Something that police would either over look or not understand. “Here” He pointed to one of the female victim’s right leg. “Look at that wound.”
“It… it's a puncture wound!” Levy said shocked, “It’s too big to be a vampire.”
“Yep… however I know one creature who could do something that large and enjoy eating the flesh as well.”
Levy looked at him expectedly, he turned to her and sighed. “A Hellhound.”
“A… What!?” She blinked, “The ones that come after you if you make a deal with a demon?”
“Hellhounds are the demon’s play thing. They go to a human if they make a deal with a crossroads demon ten years beforehand. Usually it is something trivial. Money, a woman, to be able to have a child or whatever. These Hellhounds are invisible to people who haven’t made the deal. But to the person who has… They have until midnight - ten years after the contract is made, to the day, to say goodbye to the people they love. Because Hellhounds can morph and walk through walls. And they will get you.”
Levy thought for a moment, and clicked on something on the tablet, typing in something as well. She frowned at the screen and then looked over her shoulder, “The first victim became a millionaire ten years ago, he apparently won the lottery…” She bit her lip, “The second lot, well the mother was apparently infertile, but ten years ago she… finally became pregnant after a IVF treatment successfully worked. The odd thing was, the treatment was paid by someone anonymous.” She shakily drew a breath, “Became CEO ten years ago… became married to a rich husband ten years ago… brother miraculously came out of a coma ten years ago… married the love of his life… ten years ago.” She was in a daze, Gajeel went to touch her shoulder. Try and console her in some way, but she turned around before he did.
“Gajeel, if they all made deals with a crossroads demon, and a Hellhound ended their lives…. Why did the Hellhound eat all the family? And how the heck are we meant to find one?”
Gajeel thought for a moment, pursing his lips whilst he went through several possibilities. He finally looked to Levy and mumbled, “Family members do get in the way in times of confrontation… and you can never trust a demon.” He sighed, “As to finding one - welp there is only one way.” He looked to he and smirked, “Find a crossroads demon and piss him or her the hell off.”
Levy’s eyes looked as if they were going to fall out of the socket, but she eventually nodded and stood up straight. “Then let’s do just that.”
To top the night off, it was raining. Levy pulled up the zip of her coat and pulled up the hood. Gajeel knelt in the rain in the middle of the crossroads and dug a hole in the sludgy dirt. “Are you sure you don’t need help?”
“Only one person can summon a crossroads demon at a time, Levy, and it is better if it is me.” He mumbled back to her.
She raised a brow, “But it’s dangerous.”
“Exactly.” He said back, looking over his shoulder and smirking, “Use me as a shield, Miss Mcgarden. That’s all I am good for.”
His words were so… sincere, did he really believe he was only good for a shield? Levy bit her lip and looked at her shoes, suddenly feeling a blush creep across her cheeks. She shook her head, telling herself not to be so bashful and childish. When Gajeel stood up suddenly, she paid full attention to the scene around her.
“Remind me what you told me to put in the dirt again?” Gajeel grumbled.
“Graveyard dirt, a black cat’s bone, and a picture of the person summoning the demon in a tin box.” She replied, and blushed again. “Why?”
He smirked, “I am just making sure what I am getting myself into.” He sighed, “Crossroad Demons are… tedious souls.”
“Hmm…” Levy mumbled, “You could say that again.”
“How may I help thee?” A voice interrupted them suddenly, both hunters turned around with surprised looks on their faces. The woman was short and curvaceous, her hair was long and black, her eyes glowed a dangerous red.
Gajeel gritted his teeth, putting his hand is front of Levy and lightly pushing her behind him.
“We need to speak with you, Crossroad Demon.” Gajeel grumbled, “About some recent suspicious murders that have been spread throughout Magnolia in the past few weeks.”
The demon cocked her head to the side and looked to the sky, as if she was thinking. She then nodded, “You mean the people who made contracts with myself and my master?”
“So you do not deny that you were the one who sent the Hellhounds after them?” Gajeel muttered.
The demon cocked her head to the side and said softly, “Why would I deny such a claim? The fact of the matter is that these humans came to me for aid. I just complied and gave them a contract to sign.” She smiled tentatively, “If you do not wish to seal a contract with me, Werewolf, I should leave and appear to someone who will.”
“Like hell!” Gajeel snapped, stepping forward. The demon glared at him, her eyes burning. Gajeel saw hell in her eyes, but it did not move him or scare him. Because she has yet to see hell, because he could sense that he was going to show her what hell really was. He just had to wait until she gave him reason to.
“Werewolf, please do not come closer.” She said in a soft warning tone. “Or I will be forced to punish you.”
Gajeel stopped, his eyes narrowing. He assessed whether she was bluffing, trying to stop him from defeating her and for Levy to exorcise her from the human body she invaded. But he soon realised that she wasn’t bluffing, and she had planned for this day to come for a long time.
“That hunter behind you is such a small little thing, it would be a shame if something came and knocked her over… and ate her, don’t you agree?” The woman grinned in a sickly sweet kind of way.
Gajeel felt his stomach churn, he looked over his shoulder to Levy who though showed no physical signs of fear, smelt like it all the same. She looked around her, slowly getting out a gun from her holster, she glared up at Gajeel and nodded.
“Hellhounds, huh?” Gajeel growled. He then paused and chuckled to himself, “Hellhounds can’t come above ground unless someone has come to the end of their contract. So that means you summoned them illegally, am I right?”
The demon smiled again, “You’re smart for a dog.”
“Why?” Levy snapped, “Why do that?”
The girl sighed deeply, “You hunters always take such fun out of everything. You always purify things and people that you touch. It becomes quite annoying when the people you purify therefore never come to hell’s gate for their eternal punishment.” She glared at Levy, her eyes glowing brighter. “In other words, you’re putting me out of business. So what if I broke contracts, if it is to please My Lord, then I do not care.”
Levy gritted her teeth, Gajeel smelt her anger boil throughout her body and veins. It was then that Gajeel heard them, the snaps and growls. He sniffed the air, sniffing out easily the amount of Hellhounds there were. There were twenty of them. Gajeel was sure that he could defend himself, but it was Levy that he was worried about. He hadn’t seen her fight yet, he didn’t even know if she could fight. Sure she had the weapons, but could she fire them? Gritting his teeth more, he backed his way to Levy and looked over his shoulder and down at her. “Twenty of them.”
“Do you know where they are?” She asked in a serious tone. He nodded, she held her gun higher. “Then tell me when and where to shoot, partner.”
Gajeel smirked and sniffed the air, he knew that they needed to wait for the right moment to fight. If Levy shoots too early, they’ll be pummelled by Hellhounds.
They would most likely die.
Levy would die… And that was something Gajeel couldn’t even think about.
The Crossroad Demon smirked, “I have been waiting for a bunch of hunters to come to me, I have been getting so bored lately…” she sighed, putting a gloved finger to her lips in thought. “Deumus… impetum!”
A loud snarl sounded behind Levy, Gajeel spun around on his left heel and grabbed Levy’s coat hood, pulling her backwards and behind him. The invisible dog charged towards them, grabbing forward Gajeel threw all of his weight into his arm and charged it downwards. The snout of the dog cracked and sunk into the soggy mug, black blood oozed from the invisible form. Gajeel heard more snarling coming from his right, keeping Levy close to him he got out his AutoMag and shot two bullets into the direction of the snarling and growing presence of the Hellhound. Blood splattered and a loud thud sounded.
Gajeel grunted and stood straight and held Levy close to his side, he looked around him, the scent of the remaining eighteen Hellhounds lingered on his nose. “Levy, when I say so, shoot in the direction I attack, got that?”
“Yes,” She breathed.
The Crossroad Demon screeched loudly, “Eurynome! Beleth! Interfice eos!”
Two Hellhounds growled and ran forward, Gajeel grunted and jumped grabbing one of the Hellhound’s ear and colliding him into the other, gaining some time. One of them got up, charging straight towards Levy. Gasping, Gajeel yelled, “Shoot! Two o’clock!”
Levy nodded and pressed the trigger twice, the shots were spot on considering that the Hellhounds were completely invisible to her. Blood splattered only several inches away from her, spreading on her face. Levy winced but kept her gun high, ready to shoot again.
Gajeel turned and got out his knife, when a Hellhound jumped at him, snapping loudly and slobber flowing from his mouth. Gajeel swung his arm forward, managing to slice the cheek and jaw of the beast before stepping forward and leaning. Launching his body upwards, Gajeel dug the knife into his throat. The howl was loud, creeping through the air like a pit of hell. Gajeel grunted and threw the now limp body over his shoulder.
“All of you! Impetum!” The demon screeched.
Gajeel widened his eyes and got out his AutoMag once more, he backup quickly to Levy, back to back they shot around them. Levy’s heart rate rose, the smell of blood and the sound of barking and growling was all that Gajeel could hear and smell. He knew that Levy could shoot and defend herself, maybe that means he could focus a little more at the task in hand.
He had managed to shoot down four more easily, their bodies trampled over by the other Hellhounds who jumped and snarled in Gajeel and Levy’s direction. Levy got out her rifle and panted, yelling for Gajeel to cover her whilst she ran for the van.
“What the heck are you thinking!?” Gajeel yelled, “You’ll die.”
“If I can have a good range, then I can kill off the Hellhounds who go for your back. Strategically it is a lot better plan than both of us shooting them at close range!” She shot one in the face once Gajeel snapped, ‘Three o’clock!’ at her. “Trust me, goddamn it!”
Gajeel widened his eyes, slicing the throat of a Hellhound before gritting his teeth and feeling a crack go through his jaw. “Fine! Be quick about it, if you die I will never forgive your short ass! Got that?” He grabbed her arm and stepped in front of her, shooting two Hellhounds for an opening. He threw her forward and snapped, “Be quick!”
“Yes!” She breathed, and sprinted off. She managed to slip past the Hellhounds, however some did snap in her direction. She ran as fast as she could, her feet slapping against the wet muddy ground. She almost slipped when she got to the van, climbing up the door to the van roof. She panted and knelt as she reloaded her rifle and aimed. “I’m ready!” She yelled over to Gajeel, out of breath.
“Six o’clock!” The Werewolf snapped.
Levy aimed and breathed in, breathing out she pulled the trigged and watched as the bullet hit the imaginary mass, black blood spurting out and spraying in the cold wet air. She watched as Gajeel spun around, using his knife he had obviously sliced two of three throats of the Hellhounds. Gajeel peered to his right and yelled, “twelve o’clock!”
Levy aimed and shot quickly, it was good that she chose to do so. The Hellhound’s blood splattered into her face. She widened her eyes and breathed out in relief, she reloaded the rifle and gulped. She watched the floor, for any proof of Hellhounds running towards her. Gajeel couldn’t do all the work, and by the looks of him, he was slowly beginning to tire.
And not only that, Levy swore that she could see his eyes glower a profuse red. Swallowing hard, she kept an eye on the ground below. She gasped when she saw a Hellhound’s footprints slap agains the floor towards Gajeel’s back.
Narrowing her eyes, she fired a shot the best she could. It seemingly only skimmed the beast’s back, as she suddenly saw two pairs of Hellhound feet charge towards her direction.
“Shit!” She grabbed her AutoMag and aimed. “Five… four… three,” she breathed heavily. Two… “One!” She fired four shots, one missed completely, the other three managing to go through apparent vital points of the Hellhound’s bodies.
Not many more to go… She breathed.
“Hello… human girl.” A voice whispered in her ear. Levy gasped as she was suddenly pulled upwards and slammed onto the roof on her back. Something cracked into her shoulder blade, causing Levy to gasp in pain as it ran through her entire body. She opened her eyes slowly only to see the Crossroad Demon looming over her. “You’re such a pain, that poor little werewolf is doing so much to try and help you, and yet you do so little to help him in return. Hell it took you long enough to think of climbing on top of the van…” She chuckled, “How sweet…” She grabbed Levy’s arm and pinned it above her head. “Trying to reach for your knife, girly?”
Levy flinched as she felt a fist collide with the metal beneath her ear. The Demon laughed, “Humans are so … feeble.” She sighed, “But you… you would be rather interesting. You’re the intelligent one of the Fairy Tail branch right? The one with the high IQ, even from a young age got praised for her book-smarts and her cute personality.” She chuckled, “You even got the werewolf weak at the knees for you.”
“What the heck are you talking about, demon?” She said through gritted teeth.
“Oh you didn’t know? With him being so protective, I could only guess you knew…” She chuckled louder, “No matter… I wonder if it’ll still count if I suddenly - well - became you.”
Levy bit her cheek, suddenly the demon’s hands clenched at Levy’s chest. Ripping away the fabric of her jacket, the demon whispered something before kissing her fingers and putting to the middle of her chest, right between her breasts. The demon leaned forward and smiled, “Goodbye little human.”
Her lips were suddenly on Levy’s, the blue haired girl knew full well what the demon was attempting to achieve. Sure enough the feeling she got of someone attempting to enter her body was almost annoying. But then, the demon froze and pulled away crying out in pain.
“You little slut! What is this!” She grabbed Levy’s clothing, ripping away her shirt, exposing her stomach. And that’s when the Demon saw it. “A purification seal?” She glared at Levy and gritted her now burnt teeth, “Only people of God have those!”
“One thing you don’t know about me, is that I was brought up by a nun you bitch.” Levy spat in her face.
She was punched in return solidly against her cheek. Levy tasted blood in her mouth. She gasped and whimpered, looking back to the demon and smirking. “So you can’t touch me!”
The demon laughed, “You might’ve been smart enough to get a Purification seal upon your skin child, but there is one way I can made is null and void!” She clicked her fingers, black smoke spread around them from the ground, forming into the shape of two men. “Boys… one of you pin her down, the other make her - well - void.”
Levy’s eyes widened as one of the new demons pinned her down, the Crossroad Demon moving and spreading her legs. The one chosen to do the act unzipped and ripped Levy’s jeans, gaining access to her underwear. Levy screamed, loud and painfully. “Gajeel! Gajeel help!”
“The werewolf is busy!” The Crossroad Demon cackled.
Levy tried kicking them away, but the force against her legs were heavier than Levy by a couple of stone. She screamed louder, but was punched and slapped in return.
And then… they were gone. Levy blinked and looked down to the side of the van to see Gajeel slamming the recently summoned demons into the Van’s side door. He didn’t look at Levy as he grabbed her knife from her boot and also got out his, slamming the blades into their heads. Levy remembered that Demon’s were also repelled by Holy Silver, so when she saw their bodies shrivel and disintegrate, she wasn’t totally surprised. Rather, she was surprised the looked that Gajeel had on his face.
His eyes were bright red, his teeth were elongated and sharp and his hands… they were now clawed.
He’s turning…
He removed the blades from the heads of the new demons and walked to the Crossroad Demon slowly. “You bitch…” He snarled. Levy’s eyes widened as she sat frozen solid, both metaphorically and physically, to the roof of the van. “Touching her…” He growled, “Trying to do that to her!”
His voice… his voice… Levy’s thoughts were scared, she shivered against the sound of his voice and his tone. It haunted her very being. So this … is what a Werewolf… is? Is he still Gajeel?
Gajeel grabbed the Crossroad Demon’s head, slamming it against the muddy floor with ease. Levy flinched away from the sight, but was suddenly surprised to hear him say her name - so calmly. “Levy… please do not be afraid, I am still me.” He grumbled, “Exorcise her, please.”
“O-o…. oh-kay…” She stuttered. Slowly, she managed to move off the van’s roof and onto the bonnet, trying not to get too close to them both. She drew a shaky breath, and slowly started to speak the words.
“We exorcise you, every impure spirit. Every satanic power, every incursion, of the infernal adversary, every legion. Every congregation and diabolical sect. Thus cursed demon, and every diabolical legion, we adjure you. Cease to deceive human creatures, and to give to them the poison of eternal Perdition!” She whispered, grabbing the cross from her ripped jacket pocket. The Crossroad Demon started to smoke and burn, screaming from under Gajeel’s fists. “Go away, Satan, the inventor and master, of all deceit, the enemy of humanity's salvation. Be humble under the powerful hand of god tremble and flee -- I invoke by… us the sacred and terrible name at which those down below tremble. From the snares of the devil, free us, lord…” She breathed heavily as the Demon started to salivate black smoke from its mouth. “So that you may make your Church safe to serve you freely, we ask you, hear us. So that you may destroy the enemies of your sacred Church, we ask you, hear us!” She yelled over the sound of screaming and sizzling. “God is frightening about his own sacred place. The God of Israel Himself will have thrust excellence, and strength to His Own people. Blessed be God. Glory be to the Father!” The last word she yelled out so loudly, even Gajeel flinched.
The black smoke from the Demon leaped into the air, swerving around several times before pummelling to the ground below. And eery scream faded behind it.
Gajeel sighed, “The body was in bad shape to begin with… she’s already dead.” He watched her as she slid off the bonnet of the car and knelt in the soggy ground, she sniffed and sighed. Touching the poor girls head and sighed.
“Oh blessed Lord, take this soul in your arms and purify her. Keep her safe as she descends to the afterlife and let her see the warm glow of her own heaven. Please Blessed Lord, hear my prayer, let this girl lay to rest and to be forever at peace… My Lord in heaven, amen.” She whispered, tears falling from her tired eyes. Gajeel just watched her, half in awe and half confused.
Levy caught his eye and sniffed, “My adopted mother was the great niece of a very well known vicar. She was a well known exorcist and well known to be able to speak to God… sometimes, I wonder if that means I can too - even though we weren’t biologically related.”
Gajeel sighed, “I for one don’t want to believe that such a man exists… all the torment… all the supernatural things in this world that taints its beauty… it makes me resent the man or woman who put them on the Earth in the first place.” He sighed once again, seeing her face sadden. “However… if he or she does exist… if such a person watches this earth and listens to prayers from such - inspirational people like yourself, then I am sure he will listen to you, whether you are related to your mother, or not.” He smirked, “Because in the end, a bond doesn’t rely on blood to be considered a bond of biological relation.”
Levy, now sobbing harder, nodded and wiped away her tears from her eyes. “T-they were going to… they were…”
Gajeel widened his eyes, catching onto what she was saying. He pulled her close to him, her head resting on his chest. He nuzzled her hair, and sniffed her scent. She calmed eventually, the sobbing subsiding and her face raising to him. “T-thank you, Gajeel.” She leaned up and kissed his cheek swiftly before resting against his chest again. “You saved me.”
He smiled to himself, a blush caressing his cheek. “Like I told you, Miss McGarden… I am your shield, and as a shield, I will do my best to save and protect you at all costs.”
This is a possible one shot for gajeelsenpai or better known as rboz, due to her Werewolf AU which she will probably post with her twitter doodles at the end of the month. Check her twitter out if you’re curious. REMEMBER NOT TO REPOST THEM, just have a peep bruh. This idea has my own little spin on it due to not knowing what Rusky wants to do for the idea. So if she doesn’t like it, I might not continue, since it is of her own creation.
This chapter is 6,123 words. It has fighting scenes, and suggestion of sexual contact. (If this does continue i’ll add more sex stuff because Gajevy... fufu)

Ever since that day, he could not stop thinking about the colour blue. The kind of the blue that reminded you of the ocean, or the sky when it starts to get dark. The colour almost haunted him wherever he went. It haunted not only in the sight of the colour, but the new found scent that came with it as well.
Ever since that day, blue was now a colour that smelt like orange blossoms and freshly bloomed lavender. Like the clean sweat that came off your body when you showered, and the fresh cotton towels that you use to dry your body. It smelt like the freshly baked cookies that you would make in the morning, the same cookies that you put in your bag for your morning break.
Blue now had a scent, and it drove him crazy whenever he was around it.
Ever since that god forsaken day.
It had started like any other day. He was working in his shitty job in a shitty hardware store, stacking shelves, showing idiots how to use power saws and what wood would work best for their new sheds. He ignored the gush like stares from his female co-workers, who acted like he was this new strange thing to gawk and stare at. Like he was a model and needed to idolised over.
He hated that in a women. Ones that entire life relied on a man’s looks and protection. He could hear it in their voices, how it quivered when he replied to them. How their eyes dilated when he forced a smile that they believed to be genuine. How they would lightly sweat when he helped them in the shop, he could smell the arousal on them… and yet it didn’t phase him at all.
He had never felt arousal from another woman until that very day.
He finished work, lit a cigarette and walked down the alleyways in the direction of his home. He would’ve probably just spent the night binge watching some wrestling shows he had pre-recorded, or maybe divulged himself in ordering pizza… for the sixth time that week - and not all for dinner, either. He would’ve probably cracked open a beer, and jacked off to some porn on pornhub and fell asleep after taking a shower.
However, it didn’t end up that way in the slightest.
On his way down the alleyways of the seemingly peaceful town on Magnolia, he stopped suddenly and sniffed the air…
Someone was here.
He narrowed his eyes and gritted his teeth, the presence didn’t seem threatening. If anything, they were the one’s who were scared shitless. Their scents were full of sweat and the aftershave they used that morning.
He kept walking, his hands reaching in his pockets and finding his pointed keyring as a possible shanking weapon if this person somehow could trick him into thinking he was safe. He had to take these precautions, especially in this town, it tricked you a lot into the thought that you were safe.
Everything seemed too quiet, there were no footsteps to back up the smell of another person. They were standing still, their heart beats slowing. They weren’t dying, however, he couldn’t smell any blood or a scent of a natural cause of death in any way. They were waiting, waiting patiently for an opening of sorts.
Possibly an opening to attack him.
The question he was pondering on however, was why on earth were they preying on him?
After all… he was usually the predator.
He turned to walk down another alleyway, carefully sniffing the air to survey any other bodies that could harm him. He smelt sixteen in total.
Shit.
Their heart beats were quickening.
He tried not to give any indication of knowing of their need for attack. It was obvious that he was the target, they obviously knew what he was. What he could do to them and everyone else if he had the will power and initiative.
They knew that he was a monster.
He realised that if they followed him home, then the people in the building he lived in would find out his true nature. He knew that he had to lure them somewhere… be rid of them in private.
It was one of the many mistakes he made that night.
The place he knew no one would see him and the fight was two alleyways away, it took six minutes to get to, as he had to make out he was going home at first. He knew they were expecting that.
The end of the selected alleyway he stood there and sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose and muttering softly, “You guys are so bad at tracking that it makes my great grandmother look like a natural.” He heard their feet land on the floor behind him, he smirked to himself. “I only heard fifteen pairs of feet land on that floor, which means there is one more person snooping around who doesn’t want to be seen yet, am I right?”
Three of them moved suddenly, they drew their weapons, which sounded and smelt like guns. He gritted his teeth and turned around at the last second, swinging his arm around and elbowing one of them in the jaw with full force. He swung him backwards, hitting the wall. His next move was grabbing the next one’s helmet, swinging him around and using him as a weapon to smack down the third opponent. With the three on the floor he grinned at his next opponents who were charging towards him.
He didn’t find them too difficult. A few times they tried using a taser of sorts to still him for long enough to get him down. However, that sort of weapon didn’t work on him. Nor would it ever work on him.
There was an opening on his right hand side, a man’s coat flapped open revealing a sword of sorts. Grinning, he grabbed it and twirled it around his arm, only using the handle as the weapon. A few of them went down easily, hitting anyone in the head with an iron weapon’s handle would make anyone disorientated. After hitting them with the handle, it only took a couple of hits to the face with his fist to make them go down easily.
Other’s found the usage of their own swords a lot more useful. The annoying part was that they were highly skilled in their swordplay, meanwhile he only knew the bare minimum.
He somehow still defeated them. However they did manage to cut him a few times. And when they did, he realised how prepared these people were for people like him.
They were using silver dipped swords. Touching it didn’t hurt monsters like himself, however being cut or stabbed by them… or even shot, was highly uncomfortable and or fatal. Which was obviously why he could touch their swords without feeling any pain.
But the cuts hurt… a lot. They stung like a thousand cigarette burns on the skin. The poisonous metal worked like acid against his skin, sizzling loudly, hissing and sometimes popping. He stopped once there was only one of them left, panting heavily and wincing against the pain. “Shit. You assholes are well prepared.”
“I knew you’d not come with us peacefully, so I made sure they were prepared to take you down momentarily.” A voice said from above, he didn’t look up to it. Instead he gritted his teeth and smirked to himself.
“Sounds like you’re going after a monster…” he laughed, “Didn’t your mommy tell ya kid? There ain’t no such thing.”
“I beg the differ. And so do you.” He replied. His voice was obviously a man’s. Though slightly higher pitched than most, it still had that grit than a man’s voice had. It was distinctive, a voice that he would never forget.
“I don’t know what you’re on about.” He growled, he stepped forward, punching down the final minion and sighing. “However prepared your men were, they weren’t very strong.”
“No.” He sighed, “I am kinda disappointed.”
He heard his feet land on the floor behind him, he peeped over his shoulder and narrowed his eyes. “Your voice doesn’t suit your face.”
“Oh?” He laughed, “That’s new, I haven’t heard that before.”
“Liar.” He mumbled. He could hear the lie vibrating from his voice box.
The guy shrugged, “I was trying to be light hearted.”
“What the fuck do you want with me?” He snapped, the pain slightly dulling, but it was there.
“You’re a werewolf, right?” He asked calmly. He got out a notebook and read from it, “Gajeel Redfox, twenty three, blood type A -, race; Werewolf.” He peeped up at Gajeel and smirked at his shocked expression, “Father; Metalicana Redfox, Mother: Unknown, Clan: The Redfox’s.” He chuckled, “I haven’t met someone with such a high ranking werewolf clan before.” He stared at Gajeel and snorted, “Or at least a former clan… aren’t I right?”
Gajeel felt himself snap, the next thing he knew he was pinning the guy up against the wall. His hands clamped around his throat, tightening his grasp slowly at he glared at him. “You only have what’s on paper. You have no other proof.”
The guy chuckled hard, lifting his hand to reveal a pocket mirror. Gajeel glanced in it and cursed.
His eyes had turned red, and his canines were out.
Fuck…
“Who the fuck are you!?” Gajeel yelled. “I am sick and tired of this shit, I was gonna just go home today, eat pizza and sleep. You guys interrupted my night, so you better have some sort of excuse in your fucked brain!”
“Since you asked, I am Natsu Dragneel. High ranked supernatural officer of the Fairy Tail guild.” He smirked, he was able to grab Gajeel’s hand and twisted them. “And I am a little pissed off right now, asshole.” His eyes glowed, beforehand they were hazel, deep and dark.
But now, they were the complete opposite, they were golden.
Gajeel laughed, “Vampire, huh?”
“You know your shit, Werewolf.”
His skin started to scale. Like a salamanders. Gajeel grinned nastily as his back was crushed into a wall, grunting he leaped forward, colliding his fist against Natsu’s. The power of the punch caused dust to sweep away from them. Gajeel didn’t waste his time, he grabbed Natsu’s hair and drove his head straight into the floor. “Now I know you can take the hits, means I can do whatever I want with you.”
Natsu’s legs wrapped around Gajeel’s neck, he launched himself upwards, and landed a harsh hit against Gajeel’s cheek. Possibly breaking a bone.
Shit.
Gajeel growled and head butted him hard in return, the guy flew backwards and smashed into the wall. He started to cackle behind the rubble, “Oh now you’re in trouble, Werewolf.”
Gajeel chuckled, “I don’t see how.”
“That’s because she didn’t want you to see it.” His eyes glowed at him, “Or feel it.”
“What the fuck are you talkin…!” Gajeel paused, he looked behind him. And there she stood, a tall blonde with burning brown eyes. Her expression was one of the devil’s, the kind that sent chills down your spine. And what made her even more chilling, was the small gun she held in her hand, that was directed at his arse. Looking there, he saw it. The small pellet shaped bullet that had been darted into him.
How the fuck…?
He panted and tried to walk, however as soon as he did he fell to the floor. His whole body suddenly was weak and feeble. “What the fuck did you do to me, you bimbo!?”
“Tranquilliser. And since your heart beats fifty times faster than any human, it means it burns off normal tranquillisers fifty times faster as well. So this one is laced with liquid silver.” She smiled a lopsided smile, “Enough to knock you out for a while, but don’t worry, it won’t kill you.”
He tried to throw an insult at her, however nothing was able to come out. Everything got dark, his body sagging against the floor. The next thing he knew, he had blacked out.
____
“He’s waking up, Lucy.” Natsu’s voice was the first thing he heard when he came around. He winced and lifted his head and coughed, his mouth tasted like shit and his whole body wobbled if he tried to move too quickly. He wanted nothing more than to vomit, but he managed to hold it back.
“Where am I?” He mumbled weakly.
“In a van on the way to HQ.” The woman spoke, her voice, he had to admit was nice to listen to… when it wasn’t talking about silver laced tranquillisers.
“HQ?” He grumbled, “What the heck are you talking about, blondie?”
Natsu chuckled, “I did mention, that I work for Fairy Tail, right?”
Gajeel rolled his eyes, “You mentioned it in passing,” he spat. “What the heck is that, anyway?”
“Gee, there I thought you were smart, Werewolf.” Natsu mocked.
“Shut it, Salamander.”
“See, now that is something i’ve never heard before.” He gritted his teeth, obviously not liking the name at all.
The female, the one he called Lucy sighed deeply, “Enough.” She walked the small space of the van and sat opposite Gajeel and spoke softly. “Fairy Tail is an underground organisation. We’re not the only ones out there, mind you. There are a lot of guilds around doing what we do. But we, are the best there is.” She nodded, “We as an organisation harvest useful supernatural creatures and ask them to work with us to annihilate any other supernatural creatures that may cause disturbance to everyday humans.”
“Hunters… you guys are hunters?”
“Yes.” She replied, “However hunters are their own supernatural creature. Though we live and die like normal humans, we do however live longer naturally, we also had heightened senses and skills. Though they’re not as strong as a Vampire or a Werewolf for instance.” She explained, “I am a hunter by birth, which means my powers are blood born. I was always destined to be a hunter. However the power of a hunter can be absorbed into a normal every day human at any time.”
Gajeel groaned, “Sounds like a shitty life.”
“So is turning into a big fluffy dog.” Natsu smirked.
“Shut up.” Lucy sighed, “What this leads to, Mr. Redfox, is that we need your assistance. Since you are a stable minded Werewolf, and the only one of the kind for a couple of hundred miles, you’re the best chance we have.”
Gajeel smirked nastily, he found it highly amusing. All of his life he was subdued and hassled with bullying, people ignoring him, people yelling at him. He was always the one in trouble, even if he didn’t want to be. Before he knew of his true strength, he always accidentally hurt people. He would always get glares from middle class mothers who would always complain to the teacher at his schools.
He was a monster from the very beginning, and now someone wanted him to help.
How amusing.
“So… human like hunters are in charge I take it?”
“Excuse me?” Lucy raised a brow.
“You’re the one talking, the one who can tell the Salamander idiot to shut up… I am just taking a wild guess, you’re the boss because you’re human. Because you’re the closest thing to normal.”
Lucy sighed, “Hunters are in charge because they know of their calling. They are trained from the time they are born to hunt. And we are taught how to hunt beings like you two. Meanwhile… you two are taught for the same length of time to hunt people like myself.” She stared at Gajeel sternly, her eyes were suddenly cold. “So, just in case you turn nasty, hunters who are of human blood are indeed in charge, because we won’t steer from the main objective at hand.” She smirked, “And yes… if you do something against my orders, I have the right to exterminate you - quickly and effectively, of course.”
“So you’re my boss?” He chuckled, “Fat chance, Blondie.”
She rolled her eyes, “There is one Supernatural Hunter to one Human Hunter. Sure we have squads who help where they can, but ultimately it is a smoother operation when hunter’s work in pair’s rather than a large overwhelming group.”
Gajeel sat back, his body was tired, his eyes threatening to droop. The silver blades take a lot out of species like himself. Dog based Supernatural creatures are prone to being exhausted and weaker when they are cut or shot with Holy Silver, such like tonight. He would need a few days to rest and eat a lot of protein to get back to his usual self.
He bit his lip and sighed deeply. “Who is my hunter?”
“One of the best, of course.” Lucy said, matter of factly. “Smart, strong willed, agile… I think you’ll like her, in your own odd way.”
“Interesting.” Gajeel smirked, “Well then, take me to my hunter… ma’am.”
___
They weren’t lying about being and underground organisation. Actually they were being very literal about the phrase.
They arrived at a large cave, the opening itself being wider than a few houses put together. He was told to walk forwards, he followed suit. It wasn’t too long of a walk, though the ground was rough and wet. Due to his weak state, he did find it difficult to keep upright. Lucy snapped at Natsu to keep him upright, she walked onwards to the end of the cave, where it seemingly reached a dead end.
Gajeel watched quietly, his sides burning as he saw Lucy put her hand on the wall and mumble something before the ground started to rattle and shake. Natsu held onto him as the back of the cave slowly lifted, revealing a tunnel of sorts that looked deep and smelt of hundreds of different scents.
How many people were even in this place?
They walked down the tunnel, which was much longer than the front entrance of the guild. It took ten minutes to finish the length. Gajeel had sniffed out at least two hundred people living within the cave. Their scents were all different, it made his head spin.
Eighty females… the rest are males, he thought. Half of the people here are asleep, the others… ugh… he stopped himself, his mind hurting and his sides burning. He needed to get medical help, if there was any.
They reached an elevator, it was glass and looked quick. It zoomed up the pipe at possibly two hundred miles an hour, Gajeel winced thinking that he would throw up if he ever entered that thing.
Natsu looked a little apprehensive as well, though when Lucy entered the elevator, he followed suit. Pulling Gajeel with him.
It surprised Gajeel that the ride was smooth, he didn’t even know that he was moving. But he did, however, know they were going down. Deep down. He realised that by the time they had stopped, they had travelled at least ninety stories. He then realised how big this place really was.
As soon as the doors to the elevator opened, two people stoop in front of them. One was a tall man with black hair and deep blue eyes, his skin was smooth and he wore a shirt that exposed his extremely muscled stomach. He looked expressionless at first, but then he spotted Gajeel. “So, you captured the beast huh, Natsu?”
“Yeah, what of it, ice brain?”
“Looks like you got a few cuts and bruises, he didn’t give you any trouble did he?” The man gloated.
Lucy rolled her eyes, “Gray, we have to be going. He needs to meet…”
The man called Gray snorted, “Yeah yeah, to meet his hunter.” He eyed Gajeel and smiled, “Welcome to Fairy Tail. A big guy like you will fit in perfectly.” He gestured to the woman next to him, who was several inches shorter, had bright blue hair, dark blue eyes and a pale complexion. Sniffing her scent, Gajeel realised what she was instantly. “This is my partner, Juvia”
She bowed, “Nice to meet you, Gajeel-kun.”
“You know my name?”
“Juvia is a Siren. Juvia is able to read the minds of men to know their deepest desires, after all… my species are known to lure men to their deaths, so they might as well know what they like the most before they do.” She answered.
Gajeel smirked, “handy.”
“Juvia agrees.” She smirked.
Lucy sighed, “As much as I would like to stick around and talk, we do have a lot of work to do. Excuse us, team 10.”
Natsu waved to the two behind as they walked to the eastern side of the guild. Gajeel yawned, he was exhausted. It felt like a life time had past since he had slept at all, his wounds were burning, his eyes were drooping…. Heck he just wanted to sleep.
After a few minutes of twists and turns of the tunnels that connected all of the guild together, they reached a metal door that was easily a few meters thick. Lucy went to a keypad that hung off the wall, she pressed the password into it and let another machine scan her eyes before the door opened from the top.
The sound was smooth, the door never once creaked or squeaked in any way. This place was new, or at least it was kept to the highest of quality.
Either way, Gajeel suddenly felt underdressed.
The room was large, the roof was domed and the walls had several alcoves. Ladders led to different exits, possibly leading to other rooms in the building. The smell lingering the air told Gajeel that they were in an infirmary. The smell of medicine was a dead give away.
Gajeel was sat on a hospital bed, were he took the opportunity to close his eyes. His body begged for sleep, but he guessed he couldn’t do that just yet due to his medical needs at that moment in time. He also guessed, that just because Lucy asked him to be a member of the guild, doesn’t mean he was one just yet… not really.
A set of heels disturbed his rest, he peeped through his eyelashes and saw a curvaceous women, roughly the same age as Gajeel, walked through the door. Her hair was red, it waved past her shoulders and caught in the light like fire. Her stern brown eyed gaze told Gajeel that she wasn’t one to mess with, she could possibly step on Gajeel if she wanted to.
Her uniform also told Gajeel that she was in high command of this organisation. Her badge that was placed on her breast area was one of a fairy looking creature, it was similar to the symbol that was plastered around the building, however, it had a cross behind it and was circled with a golden sphere.
If Gajeel had to guess, she was a captain.
“Lucy, you were supposed to call me as soon as you entered the cave.” She spoke sternly, but she looked at Lucy as if she was a friend of hers.
“Sorry, Erza.” She sighed, “I was interrupted.”
“Hmm.” She sighed, looking at Gajeel from the corner of her eye. “So this is the werewolf I heard so much about. He looks pretty messed up.”
Natsu, who now was sitting on a chair and spun around on it slowly mumbled. “My men used their holy silver swords on him, it seems to weaken him quite a lot.”
Erza nodded, “As I thought.” She turned her body towards Gajeel and smiled kindly, “Welcome to Fairy Tail. Since you have agreed to become a member of my master’s guild, you should know three of the following rules. Rule one: You must always follow the rules given to you by your master and/or hunter. Two: No killing humans unless specified. And three: See the guild as family, we are at one here. We are each other’s support and saving grace in each other’s time of need. Do not neglect your family, as it is the only one any of us have.” She nodded, “Now, any questions?”
Gajeel thought for a moment and smirked, “When will I meet my hunter?”
“When she finished some medical issues in the Northern Block. A woman is giving birth, so she must help.”
“She’s a medical hunter?” He asked.
“She is a scientist first of all, but naturally she also knows a lot of medical knowledge as well.” Erza replied.
He nodded, “Well, then I will be waiting patiently for her arrival.”
Erza smirked, “In the mean time, I will arrange for you to get your guild crest tattooed upon your skin.”
Gajeel raised a brow, “A tattoo?”
“Scared of needles, Mr. Redfox?” She asked amusedly.
“No, I have tattoos, I just didn’t know I needed one to be in your clique.” He mumbled, “Tattoos are for a lifetime, ya know.”
Erza chuckled, turning around and saying as she left, “Exactly right, Mr. Redfox… exactly right.”
Gajeel narrowed his eyes, realising that he had just signed up for a contract that was for a life time.
Before he could say a word, the doors opened once more. Another set of heels clicked against the floor, this time they were lighter, of someone of a smaller stature. The woman was looking down on a clip board, she was wearing a lab coat and scrubs underneath. Her hair was blue, and her fringe covered her face as she walked through the room. Gajeel wondered who she was, but she seemed to seemed to be oblivious to everyone else’s presence at that moment in time.
Lucy smirked at the girl and rolled her eyes, “Levy!”
The girl looked up, shocked. The clipboard almost fell out of her hands, she composed herself quickly and stood straight. Her hair bouncing back into place, revealing her face to Gajeel for the first time.
Gajeel had never really found anyone breathtakingly beautiful before. Sure he knew of beauty and knew when someone was beautiful. However he had never found a girl who took his breath away. That was until that moment.
She was short, possibly only five foot four in height. Against his 6 foot three, she was a midget. Her hair was a that deep ocean blue that you saw in overhyped holiday brochures. Her eyes were deep hazel, the flakes of brown almost looking like gold against the forest green. Her skin was pale, it looked creamy and soft. Gajeel felt the urge to bite and taste it.
And then it happened, his heart started to rapidly beat. The type of beating that would usually cause a heart attack on a normal human. His whole world suddenly slowed down, and his body temperature went up.
Is this… Am I…? He gulped harshly. Shit… I… Imprinted on… that girl!?
___
“Gajeel did you get in a fight again?” His dad asked as he came out of the school gates begrudgingly. “Your face is gonna stay lookin’ like that if you keep reopening those cuts ya’ know.”
“What is it to you? Like you care.” Gajeel snapped as he slammed the car door behind him once he got inside.
His dad got in the car and smacked the back of Gajeel’s head, “The principle said you hit Gary Oldman again, why do you keep picking on him for, huh?”
“He keeps making the girls feel uncomfortable. I can feel it. I can just tell that they don’t want him touching their thighs in class, or offering them drugs all the time. He’s a perverted asshole.” He frowned, “I hate seeing girls uncomfortable… especially from a creep like him.”
His dad started to drive and sighed deeply, he was silent for a while. Once they got to the outside of their house, he looked back to his son with concern in his eyes. “Gajeel, do you ever feel like your whole world is designed for one person? Like one of those girls in your class?”
“What the heck are you talkin’ about ol’ man?” Gajeel muttered.
“Answer the question, dip shit.”
Gajeel shook his head, “Nope. You’re the only person I give a shit about.”
“What about your mom?”
“Never knew her.” He replied in a snap.
He sighed and put his hands up, “I’m just making sure, Gajeel. If you feel like one day your whole world is suddenly all for this one person. Like your heart is going to burst out of your chest. Like his or her entire being is like a god or goddess… then I want you to know why, whilst you’re still young.”
“I’m not young… I mean I am turning fifteen next week, ya know!” Gajeel peered up suspiciously at his father. “And what the heck are you talking about?”
“A little thing called Imprinting.” He smirked, “We’re werewolves, dogs, we’re loyal creatures as you full well know. We’re pack creatures, and a pack always needs an alpha and beta. It is in any male wolf’s instinct to find a beta that is fit just for him.” He smirked, “Like me and your mother for instance.”
“Mom’s dead, can’t you find a new chick to fuck?”
His dad glared at him, suddenly his fist collided in Gajeel’s face. He growled harshly at his son, “Don’t you ever talk about your mother like that again, she was the love of my life and still is.” He grunted, “She isn’t dead, Gajeel. She is human, she just wanted a normal life. So she left, and left you with me. I accept that, because I love her. You got that?”
Gajeel pouted, rubbing his cheek and sighing. He looked the other away, away from his father, so he wouldn’t see the tears building in his eyes. “Whatever. It isn’t like I will imprint on anyone, after all, I am not an alpha, you are.” He sniffed, “No one’s gonna love me. So it doesn’t matter!” He grabbed the door handle and got out, slamming the door behind him and ran inside.
___
Goddamn… it happened… He blinked, A lone wolf always means that there is a higher chance of imprinting… technically when you’re by yourself, you’re an alpha. Never though did I think….
“So yeah, this is your new Supernatural Hunter, Gajeel Redfox.” Lucy snapped him out of reality…. How long had they been talking?
The woman looked to him and smiled, his heart leaped. She had a nice smile, genuine and kind. Her cheeks dimpled just under her eyes, and her lips were the colour of strawberries. It made his whole body threaten to melt…
As she moved towards him, he stiffened. He could see her body move under her scrubs, he realised that though her top half lacked breasts… as he guessed she was no bigger than a B or C cup, her bottom half was voluptuous. He could only wait and see what her ass looked like, but his guess was better than nothing.
She held out her hand and kept smiling, “Hi there, it is nice to meet you. I’m Levy, Levy McGarden.”
Even her name sounds nice… Jesus fucking Christ…
He looked to her hand and slowly took it, her skin was indeed soft. He guessed she used hand creams. He sniffed the air softly, smelling the light scent of lavender coming from her hands. He wished he could get a better smell of it.
He breathed in and spoke, “Gajeel Redfox… it is nice to meet you too.”
She grinned wider, he almost went into kiss her at the sight of it but stopped himself. Her grin was even better than her smile, it was cute, bashful, her cheeks blushed a beautiful sunset pink and her eyes closed and her cheeks dimpled…
Dad was right… she is like a Goddess.
And the wolf inside of him wanted nothing more than to take her for himself. Get Lucy and Natsu out the room, and just take her then and there. The floor, the bed the wall… her desk, he didn’t care where…
No goddamn it, Gajeel! She has a right to say no….
But it was tempting, no matter how much he wanted to deny it.
She suddenly looked concerned, she reached for his head and put her hand against his forehead and frowned. “You’re burning up… you look like you’re in pain!” She looked to Lucy, “Could you get me that med kit?” She looked back to Gajeel and bit her lip, “I’ll need you to take off your shirt, it looks like you’ve got some cuts. I need to clean them.”
She took the med kit off Lucy and smiled to her and Natsu, “You two go off and get some rest, I can take care of him from here.”
“Sure… see ya around, Lev.”
Levy nodded and waved as they both made their way to the door. Levy turned back to Gajeel and frowned, “Shirt. Off.”
Gajeel found himself smirking, “Fine… you’re the boss.”
She smirked back, he slowly took off his shirt and winced each time the material stuck on one of the cuts. He groaned and threw the shirt on the floor, laying back against the bed and sighed deeply. “Shit…”
“Holy Silver?”
“Apparently so.” Gajeel grumbled, he watched her search through the medical kit. Peeping when she bet over in the opposite direction to him. He was right, she had a great ass.
She came back with a small bottle and a syringe. She measured out the liquid and looked to him, “Since you’re a werewolf, any form of silver is poisonous to you. Luckily, I came up with an anti-silver antidote… it took a lot of hours, but I thought it’d be handy for you.” She mumbled, a blush snuck onto her cheeks. He didn’t know if she knew, but she sounded nervous. She continued to speak as she tapped the syringe. “Anti-silver is basically the attributes of normal silver, but without the silver. Usually silver chunks are 97 percent silver, and three percent copper. So instead, I replaced the percentage of silver with copper, and the copper percentage with Platinum. I mix this with a normal IV drip and Morphine… hopefully, it’ll do the trick.”
He raised a brow, “Hopefully?”
“… Werewolves are rare in Magnolia.” She muttered, and looked to him. “You’ll feel like shit if you don’t try.”
“Or I die,” he grumbled.
She frowned deeply, “I wouldn’t allow that.”
Her expression made his heart flutter, the care in her voice made his mouth go dry. He cleared his throat and gritted his teeth, “Do it.”
She nodded, finding a vein easily, she injected him with the serum. He winced, feeling the liquid go through his veins.
He had to admit, it worked. He felt a lot more awake after two minutes, and after ten minutes the wounds stopped burning. Though the wounds didn’t heal with the medicine, his own regeneration properties kicked in when his body was un-poisoned with Holy Silver.
Levy touched his forehead again and smiled, “Your fever is going down, do you think it is working?”
“Yeah… I think it does the trick” He grinned, “Remind me to come to you when I need to be patched up.”
She rolled her eyes, “Well there is one rule to this serum. I can’t give it to you after every normal battle. Only when you get attacked with Holy Silver. Copper can taint the blood, and that is very uncomfortable and sometimes fatal. Other times you’ll have to rely on your own healing abilities.”
“Seems fair enough.” He sighed, he watched her pick out any dirt from his wounds and then clean it with alcohol and a cotton ball. He winced at the smell which fumed the air, and clung on his nostril hairs. It was when she moved that he felt at ease, the smell of Orange Blossoms and Lavender filled his nose instead. He calmed down and laid back a little more tiredly.
He hadn’t slept well the night before, and it must be early morning by now…
Once she stitched him up she looked at him worryingly and sighed, “Look at you, you’re exhausted.” She touched his chest in a sympathetic way, however the touch sent his heart thudding. She noticed and looked at him curiously, “Are you alright?”
He nodded, “My heart just beats fast… eh…. It's a werewolf thing.” He lied.
She nodded, “Well… let’s get you some food, I’ll call the kitchen to bring you some here. I’d like you to sleep here for the night too, just for observations. Since it is already morning… well when you wake up, i’ll show you around!” She grinned again, that inducing heart rate grin. “That sound good, partner?”
How am I meant to tell an innocent looking thing like you that I met you an hour ago, and have imprinted on you, and now will never be able to leave your side unless you specify it? He sighed and nodded, Jesus christ… I joined a guild and fell in love with a total stranger today, I wonder how tomorrow will fair?
