ANIMAL-BASED QUESTIONS. (+ in relation to our muses)
( 🐈⬛ ) : how does superstition or reputation shape how others treat your muse?
In his desperate & grief-filled search for a way to bring back the dead, it got popular with people (especially from the underground) that he’s a delusional nutcase and an easy target to scam. Shao isn’t actually as dumb as they think; he was fully aware of how they looked at him & the ways they tried to scam him, but he was in a mental state where he’s willing to sell his whole life to cling to any speck of hope, no matter how minuscule it is.
That’s why, the way Shuichi treated him, once he told him about all that — it was unexpected, to say the least. Foreign. He still can’t wrap his head around it. You need a whole other level of kindness to be able to empathize with someone that told you they’re willing to kill someone to bring a person back to life, as crazy as that sounds. It made him want to stay by Shuichi’s side and make sure no one takes advantage of that kindness.
( 🦏 ) : what makes your muse charge headfirst without thinking?
The desire to protect. To put himself between someone and a perceived danger, regardless of how daunting that ‘danger’ is. His whole body could be quaking with fear, and he’d still step in front of someone to protect them. His bravery has been described as suicidal by multiple people.
That triples when it’s someone he cares about. If Viola was in any danger, or if Susumu was in a tough spot, he’d drop anything he had to immediately get to them. If Mariko or Yuichi had a gun pointed at them, he’d protect them with his own body. It’s not a heroic feat: it’s care. Any harm that comes to them would hurt him much more than anything that happens to him. He knows it’s selfish, because they don’t want to see him hurt, either. He still does it, fully knowing he’s hurting them in a way, too.

Ghost stories, in theory. Crea is the type to somehow figure things out in the end, and he’s not intelligent enough to pick up when something is actually scary. He’s the type to go ‘Woah! That’s scary!’ but then just carry on with whatever it is.
That said, nightmares are something that do keep him uneasy, even after he wakes up. If he’s with Tetsuo, he’ll whine to sleep next to him in his bed, especially if the ‘nightmare’ had Tetsuo in it. They’re usually absurd dreams.
