With @nikinikori marvelous art, we are proud to announce this month's Adariel event! And of course, it's an special Valentine's Week!

Everyday of this week you got not one, but TWO funny prompts and date inspirations for you to show the Adariel love. You can choose to work with both, one of them or even use them as loosey-goosey inspirations and create your own way of showing Adariel love. The important is to make their valentine count. So write about them, draw, make edits, pic colleges, little sketches, drabbles, fun incorrects… literally anything and everything is valid as long as you do it Adariel!* *our only rule is that you can't use AI or repost other people's creations.

Episode 1094: Rosetta Goes Swimming

Translator Notes:

“Seaside Rose” is a very rough translation.  The original Japanese was Shiosai no Bara, or “Rose of the Sound of the Sea”, which is, ah... a bit of a mouthful.  I think the intention was to say that she’s a rose in a place where one can hear the sound of the sea, so after riffing on a couple other ways to say that - “Shoreline Rose”, “Rose of the Sea”, and “Rose by the Sea” were others that I considered - I ultimately decided that “Seaside Rose” sounded best.

...I have no idea if this comic is as weird as it seems, or if I’m missing something cultural implied in the joke, because as it is, Io kinda just seems like a super huge creeper in this comic.

It is with great happiness (and excitement) that I say that the works have been revealed!! Everyone can now take a look at the incredible creations made by our Secret Santa!

To all participants, you can check the gift you got at your profile or by going to the Collection Works. Remember to comment and give your gifter a lot of love for all the work they did just for you! ❤️

All works are still anonymous, so creators please refrain from posting on other social media and revealing yourselves until Dec 31!

And TO YOU who is reading and thinking you lost the opportunity to be part of this great event: fear nothing! We still have treats going on! You can create a treat to anyone of these giftees here. For treats there's no deadline and you can do arts, fics, moodboards, playlists, memes, gif sets... basically whatever your heart's desire and get inspired by!! The Adariel_Secret_Santa_2024 Collection will be open until next year, so you have plenty of time to create a treat and make Adariel fan content world a little bigger!

🍬 TREATS TIME!! 🍬

Our signups are closed and assignments sent, but who said this was your only way of being part of our first Adariel event?

Now it's time for treats, and everyone can be part of it! Treats are a fun and extra way of being part of this event, gifts that you can send and receive that aren't from/for your paired-giftee, you can signup for a treat and do treats for whoever you like (and how many times you want too!). If you're already part of the event, just make sure to prioritize your assignments and/or any pinch hits you have before doing a treat!

It's not obligatory and you don't need to share/signup your own to create treats for others. So, if you just wanna gift someone, you can go directly to our sheets here and choose a request that inspires you!

Now, if you wanna signup for receiving a treat, you need to answer this little form and we will add you to the sheets above too! Remember, this is not a guarantee way of getting a gift, it's an extra for fun, inspiration and more adariel gifts/creations!

Treats have no time limit, minimum requirements and can be other than art and fics (See our FAQ for more information)! Any treat you create should be added to the AO3 collection, Adariel_Secret_Santa_2024, and gifted to the AO3 user you chose, just like the assignments.

A gift exchange centered around the pairing Adar/Galadriel from the TV show Rings of Power for members of the Adariel Discord Server.

Creation Guidelines

🧅You will have one month to create something based on your assignment.

🧅For fic, the minimum word count will be 1000 words.

🧅For art, the minimum requirement is that you submit one complete piece.

🧅All creations will be posted to AO3, in addition to whatever socials the participants may prefer.
