RISD invites us to participate in Spirit Run, adds trophy for Stephanie, and the unveiling of our official SLCM Scholarship shirts!

The Excellence in Education Foundation for Richardson ISD Schools has invited us to participate in their annual Spirit Run on November 9, 2013 at Galatyn Park in Richardson, Texas!

The event begins at 8 AM with a 1 mile walk/fun run and the main 5K race starts at 8:30 AM. Registration information is available online here.

The Foundation has also added a trophy to the race honoring Stephanie! The award, titled The Stephanie Lynne Calams RISD Spirit Run Staff Trophy, will remain part of the Foundation’s Spirit Run every year.

We’re calling on everyone already planning to participate in the race, as well as anyone else interested, to represent the Scholarship during the event by joining Team Stephanie!

If you’d like to become a part of our team, we've created an official Team Stephanie t-shirt to be worn at the race, along with anywhere and everywhere in-between and beyond!

Please note: The Stephanie Lynne Calams Memorial Scholarship will not be receiving any donations from the proceeds of the race, but all t-shirt sales will be directly added to the Scholarship Fund. Even if you're not interested in participating at Spirit Run, you can still purchase a shirt to support the Scholarship!

We're aiming to sell 120 shirts by October 24, 2013, so tell all your friends, family and co-workers!

If we reach our goal, $1,010 will go toward helping Richardson students go to college-- almost one-half of an entire scholarship award!
