{➹} – IT WAS FAR from his best landing. The hedgehog couldn’t answer why he had gotten there, or even where he was before the all too familiar sensation of falling had taken over. He wasn’t where he meant to be, and what more he was several meters above the very ground he wanted to be on. It was sheer quick thinking, and a little bit of aerokinesis, that saved him from crashing tragically into the field below.

Even then, the resulting ‘thud’ and cloud of loose debri and dirt was more than noticeable to any in the area as the hero shakily got to his feet and shook himself clean. As much as he could anyway, he already knew a shower was in his very near future. Yet, despite it all, one thought was quick to pass through his head.

He really hoped no one saw that.

Hopping out of the small crater he had created, wincing at the very sight of it, he took a moment to look around at the grassy field. A remarkably dull area, it seemed. Nothing but plants and what he could only assume was a road along its edges. Or so he assumed before something else caught his eye and he blinked.

Two yellow figures. Strange...

{➹} – FOR A MOMENT, the canary only looked at the feline, unable to tell that they were in disguise but feeling something...wrong nonetheless. Something she quickly chalked up to recent events and not the other in general. Sonic always did seem to make friends with oddballs, and she had to wonder what that said about herself before almost wilting at the question returned to her.

“Actually, yeah...” There was guilt in her voice, her blue eyes downcast before she took a breath and continued. “He...got taken, kidnapped, and we’re...his team that is, are trying to find anyone who might be able to help us get him back.”

Hence why she was there now. They had to try everything they could, for the hedgehog’s sake.

"I don't know how close you two are, but we need all the help we can get when the time comes."

{➹} – THE THANKS HAD BEEN UNEXPECTED, and the compliment afterward even more so. Blinking in uncertainty, shock really, the hedgehog wasn't sure what to say at first. And not just because he couldn't quite tell if the other was being earnest or not, or just taking the piss. It was the question that honestly threw the hero for a loop and he tilted his head. Not many people bothered with learning the year so it was peculiar.

"'S thirty-two twenty-seven here, why do you ask?"

The effort you put into portraying Volt and Harmony (as well as their counterparts, Light and Gibbous) is always so immense. I'm in awe with the detail you put into your replies and your worlds, your worldbuilding/plot-moving posts and events. Even though I'm not in the RPC anymore, I'm so glad I got to know your OCs- and I hope, if I ever come back, you won't mind me screeching at you again. Thank you for being so warm and welcoming to me when I was around, and for continuing to chat off and on with me while I'm on my leave from the RPC. You are a bright light in the RPC, and I am so glad that I've gotten to know you.

Thank you, for every fond memory- those already made, and perhaps those to come. Thank you for putting so much of your heart into your characters, and being willing to share them with us. Thank you so much, mate.

OOC: I know you've been away but you're still someone that I always feel I can talk to for hours at a time. The amount of times we've played Messenger tag has always been fun. I love waking up in the afternoon to see the walls of text we used to leave with one another with something or another that we could just gush about.

You're an amazing person Writer, so full of creativity and light. Friendly without taking any shit from others. If you ever do decide to come back to the RPC, I'll be more than happy to pick right back up where we left off.

{➹} – “Y’KNOW, FOR SOMEONE who always seems t’ think the worst of friendship, you sure pop in a lot.”

A harmless tease. Even the hedgehog’s playfulness couldn’t hide that he was happy to see Loki; his smile alone gave that away. The hedgehog was always easy enough to find if someone really knew him, and given it was winter there was little question as to why he had opted to spend the day in Marble Zone. It was warm, mostly thanks to the active lava pools and hidden veins under their feet.

“So, are you here t’ just say hello or is there something you need?”
