She hated when he kept things from her. She was supposed to tell him every little thing that ailed her, but the moment his Raven side came out, it was like he couldn’t get away from her fast enough. It hurt, she wouldn’t deny that. But she didn’t really have time to dwell on it as she followed Shinji’s orders. Clearly he knew what Shoji needed. He was allowed to know how to help and ease whatever was ailing her so called boyfriend. 

Filling a bowl with ice, Scarlett tried to tamp down the anger and hurt bubbling inside her like a cauldron brewing poison. It wasn’t going to do either of them any good right now. She just needed to deal with the situation at hand and maybe.....maybe, he would actually talk to her this time.

She had only just seen another guest out when one, who clearly had one too many at the bar front had blocked her path. Usually the male staff would be able to step in quickly, yet for some reason tonight there had been a surplus of customers. To have another actually step in wasn’t really unheard of, just something they preferred wouldn’t happen since it meant other guests than this one had been disrupted by this man.

With her muscles stiffening, she kept her face as calm as she could manage. Being cornered only brought memories she hated back. Itching at her mind and muscle memory making her wish she didn’t have to work. “Sir, please remember you were asked if you wanted a seat at a table. Having sat here at the bar, it means you chose to not have a conversational companion. So I would like to ask you to close put your tab and make your way out,” pausing she looked at the other customer who had defended her. “I apologize that your evening was disturbed. Please let them know that your drink and meal will be covered by me, Rose.” Nodding to the bar tender who finally came over having come around the bar, he handed the man his check before escorting him to the door, leaving Keana with the blue haired customer who had defended her.

Dogi definitely shouldn’t be disappointed that the confrontation was settled with words. That was the best outcome after all. But dang, that cocksure swagger and nasty attitude was really asking for a jab to the face. Just a little one that’d pop their cheek a bit. Not break anything but definitely give them a much needed wake up call. Well, that definitely would have put a stop to the rest of his evening if he had. So yeah, this is for the best.

“What’s that? Nahh! I appreciate your concern but that wasn’t anything at all for me. I used to be a bouncer awhile back, so that jerk acting up was like uh. Unfortunate nostalgia. Guess that’s what you’d call it. What matters is you’re alright. If anything I feel like I should be making it up to you! In short, Sonia tends to ramble and question ridiculous things about life when drunk. She’d also likely ask him to talk about his life, particularly if she feels it would be inappropriate to ask while sober. I’m sure Peter would just love to talk about his time in the orphanage if Sonia asks (yes this is sarcasm)?

Sonia flirting is often done under a complete lack of knowledge. That is, she usually has no idea she’s doing it until it’s already in process. It’s a bit different when she’s in a relationship with someone, but yeah, she sees Peter as a friend right now and believes him to only see her as a friend too.

“I hope the storm isn’t too serious! But whether it’s rain or snow, it’s imperative that we’d check to be sure we have electricity and that we, and any animals in our care, are warm and safe. Otherwise, I think it would be prudent to have Wilson-san prepare food as my middling skills may result in wasted ingredients. And I don’t see either of us as ones to panic, as long as we are secure! I’d hope there would be plenty of books to read, which I believe he’d enjoy. If not, perhaps I might convince him to watch a film or television show with me until the storm passes. Unlike the weather outside, it would be very cozy and calm.”

It was starting to get dark, and Daniel was heading out to find a good drink. It seemed like it was impossible, with the city getting more and more dangerous with each passing year. Maybe he just knew how to get himself into trouble, who was to say?

He noticed them almost immediately, a group of guys harassing some woman. Should he get involved..? She looked like she was really uncomfortable.. ah to hell with it, he was itching for a fight anyway.

“Oi.” He called out to the men harassing the woman. “Didn’t your mama ever teach you to respect a girl asshole?” Honestly, the filthy things coming outta that guy’s mouth..

Daniel didn’t really give him a chance to respond, choosing to deck him in the face before he could get a word in edgewise. It was obvious he wasn’t messing around here. “I think it’d be best if you all just skipped out before things get ugly.. ah, too late, the ugly arrived with you guys.”

{🔥}; A couple months had gone by since Sa’mir had saved Miyaki.

He grew fond of her and no idea that his feelings for her had also grown, but there was also guilt as he was no closer to saving her fully from the grasp of one of the king’s concubines.

It was hard to watch her at times force a smile.

That is why he thought today was the day he would try and show her around the kingdom a bit, maybe have her get some peace and fresh air.

“Miyaki?” He calls out softly as he approached her. “I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind coming with me to the market today?”

     It would be a lie to say he’s never imagined something like this. The circumstances however dictated that he wouldn’t be able to like it as much as he thought he would have. She seems inexperienced but bold, until the moment she gently pulls on his hair which prompts him to hold her by the waist and quietly kiss her back. He has plenty of unwanted experience and this was the first time it had ever come into good use—

     He’s scared though. He doesn’t like the way the heiress has been watching him. It’s dangerous and he’s been hurt by people who looked at him like that— like they had an endless hunger that they would keep trying to force him to satisfy.

     “Can’t you come with me?” he asks quietly against her lips, having forgotten the effect he tended to have on those he kissed back. “I could... possibly convince her to consider a threesome—?” he continues with a small sheepish laugh, “she seems like the type who could possibly be down for that—“ his gaze flickers over to the heiress and with Keana’s lipstick smeared on his mouth, he runs his tongue over his lips and lazily winks at her with his clear blue eyes, you’re next. The effect he has on her over the distance is immediate— it helps that he had grasped the heiress’ hand and kissed her fingers the moment they’d met, it had completely sealed the deal.

     Keana doesn’t seem to be responding, she’s turned quite red now, so he’s forced to improvise. “Why don’t you go get us a drink?” he asks, easing her out the door. He doesn’t want to put her in such a compromising position if he could help it. “You look like you need a break, I’ll be right here—“ and he takes his time, letting the heiress close the gap between them and take him by the arm.

     “Who’s that?” she asks, in a fairly good mood after he’d winked, as she lifts a cloth napkin up to dab away at the smeared color on his mouth.

     “She’s just-- someone I hired for good company” he answers, leaning down to let her clean it off with ease. “And a fun time”

     “And how’s that going?”

     He grasps her by the waist and places her right where Keana had been moments ago. “I think I’ve found a nicer shade of lipstick I’d like on my mouth—“ and he leans in to whisper against her ear, his breath hot and his voice low, “wouldn’t you like to see how I look with you all over me?”

     By the time Keana comes back with the drinks, the two of them are gone, having disappeared through one of the many side hallways of the sprawling ballroom mansion.
