From one of my favorite breweries in Virginia, I bring you #ocelotbrewing Vandals IPA coming in at 6.9% abv. This beer is brewed with #galaxyhops and #mosaichops. It pours a light golden hazy color that smells of dank citrus with tropical notes. The taste is of passion fruit, tangerine and grapefruit with a smooth hoppy finish. Brew #258: Northbound Brewery Ltd. Galaxy of Hops Session IPA (Single Batch Editions)

ABV: 5%

Served: From the fridge

Aroma: Peach, cedar, slight malt

Pour: Cloudy dark amber with a frothy cream head

Taste: Low carbonation, some mild and light fruit notes, peach especially, before a swift bitter kick on a medium dry bite. Peach comes in on the aftertaste too and as the pint progresses. Again, for Northbound, not an abundance of flavour but decent enough.

Notes: 500ml bottle, hops - Galaxy, unfiltered, unpasteurised.

Brew #158: 8° Brewing Co. Galaxy Single Hop IPA

ABV: 5.7%

Served: From the fridge

Aroma: Citrus, tropical fruit

Pour: Opaque amber with a finger of white froth reducing

Taste: Those citrus aromas are all over the tongue in the initial wash before a sweeter, peachy middle. Finishes out on a light, hoppy bite, medium dry. Good, summery feeling IPA with a decent range of flavour across the palate.

Notes: 330ml bottle, 3rd in ‘single hop’ series
