theres a debate going on throughout my dash right now about depression and it affecting someones partner or something??? idk i dont have a true understanding of whats going on because ive just logged on but basically my view on it as someone with depressive tendencies and a boyfriend, of course it affects him and he does get slightly annoyed at times but he deals with it because he knows that he’s not going to cure my depression, he deals with it because he loves me as a whole, he deals with it because he knows if i had a way to deal with it myself at have it not affect me at all or as much he knows i would, he doesnt love me for my depression, he doesnt love me because i have depression, he loves me with my depression. it’s a hard thing to explain but he’d love me if i did or didnt have depression. he copes and learns how to get through things with me and is there for me when i need him to be, and completely understands if i’d rather be alone for a while. he understands when i obsessively need him because of my depression, or if i’d rather spend a prolonged period of time without him because of my depression. he doesnt love me because i have depression. he loves me with my depression. there is a difference. it’s just hard to explain.
