Anyone remember Hugo from Galbrathan Chronicles? Along with Shimei, he was always one of my favourites to draw. This is a messy little sketch testing colours. I was inspired by the way that black hair is coloured in the comic This Villainess Wants A Divorce, so I wanted to try my own variation. Turned out to be a hit and I’m still using this method even now!

Last year I revisited some old designs from Galbrathan Chronicles, one of my stories with @fyerbourne. This one is a rough revisit of Ayren, a young vampire mechanic and inventor with a taste for mixing the magic and mechanical together to create fascinating inventions.
