Rules: Imagine your characters are going on a trip for vacation. Which ones are most likely to fit the roles below?

1. Doing mad research for an affordable place for everyone to stay.

Galen: it's part of the job description... Daimhín would just break in.. otherwise*sighing in annoyance*

2. Hoping to try all the new food they can.

Silent Jack: gesturing around.

Kenny: no we can not try each place...pick one then we can try another tomorrow........ *He continues to ramble about tomorrow's plans*

3. Wants to stay inside and sleep through the whole vacation.

Adoh: Nay, I don't want to see this goodnight....let me know when we're heading back for the ship.

4. Believes no vacation is complete without certain activities (going to the beach, swimming, skiing, sightseeing, hiking, etc, whatever they're passionate about).

Daimhín: we have to do something memorable if it's a vacation...for us and the locals.

Oisìn: just don't get caught.

Daimhín: yer coming with.

Oisìn *raised an eyebrow*

Daimhín *puppy eyes*

Oisìn: fine!

5. Is annoyed that certain people are in the same travel group as them.

Oisìn: I love the crew but some of them make me contemplate shoving them overboard intentionally.

6. Buying souvenirs for everyone back home.

Amon: what they will come in handy, I have seen it.

7. Is about to turn this trip into a business trip.

Oisìn, Daimhín and Galen would be guilty of this...so would Morana... actually if they are off the ship there's usually business to be done.

Writing Share/WIP Wednesday

I'm following example and going to share my recently edited first paragraph or two of TPKODR (it will probably get a little more work done to it before posting.)

Pirate king and captain of the ship Death's Redemption, Daimhín Heorot was looking out across the dark reddish wood that made his ship deck at the small fleet they were approaching. The Jolly Rogers flag with crimson blood on it from the last fight they had been in a few days prior, flying high in the sky warning of their imminent arrival. It seemed Eric hadn't had the time to clean the flag yet. Daimhín turned back to Galen, his second in command and quartermaster of the ship. He said, “they are skittish.” Watching the crew of officers aboard the ships start to panic. They were still a little ways out but the larger ship had little chance of escaping them. “ay, they be scared, it not be everyday that ye see a king ship.” Galen reminded him. Daimhín asked, “is it that noticeable?” He didn't think that they stood out all that much from the other pirate vessels. Perhaps he was wrong. Assumptions were a pirates enemy after all, he mused. “nay, it be, their captain who noticed us.” Galen answered as he moved to grab a spyglass from the helm. Daimhín raised an eyebrow. It had been a while since anyone had realized it was the king ship, most people kept their mouth shut after a run in with them. He wondered exactly what gave it away to the other Captain or rather how he had known. He gave an order to the crew, “all hands to battle stations. Recon team help the crew down below until the signal is given.”

Relaxing after a long day

Galen watched as Murder Mittens wrestled gently with Jade not that his little gem had realized it yet. The sight would always bring a smile to his eyes if not to his face. He stood at the doorway to his quarters for a while before they noticed him watching. Jade lit up with a smile as he acknowledged he was in the doorway. The cub had grown to its full size and was a menace but highly protective of Jade which he wouldn't complain about especially after the life his gem had lived. Especially not when it made him feel a little safer which was kind of laughable considering a few things.

Jade asked, “ ‘r’ ya going to stand there all night?”

He smiled at the accented timbre of his voice and walked into their room. They settled into the cot easily. Jade leaned back against his chest and he burrowed his face into the long red locks. It had been a long day or it felt like it had. There had been a meeting with the other captains and both he and Daimhín were frustrated with some of what was going on but that was forgotten the moment Jade had crawled up and leaned his back against his chest. It was his favorite way to hold Jade.

The large cat curled up around their feet to keep them in place, not that he had planned to move anytime soon. He kissed the top of Jade's head as he went to pull back for a while.

Jade leaned his head back to look up at him and he chuckled before lightly pecking his lips. “I'm fine, love, it was just a long day without you there to scowl at them.” His cheek resting on the top of his head once more as they drifted off like that.

Happy Blorbo Blursday. 

If your character found a magic lamp with a genie in it.. How would they use their three wishes? 

Thank you for the ask although I wouldn't trust any of them with a genie....it would end badly for multiple people.

After some serious though I nominated Galen to answer..

More time in the years span.

The fae and royals he didn't like go poof never to be seen again.

No one on the crew can die...

Yep....he doesn't think things through either but slightly less mass casualty event than the others.

Galen is very secretive about his PTSD but he lets it slip one day that he hasnt flown in a long time, and that he turned Adelaide down on a ride in Tulip because he feels like he'll get shot down again. Jacob starts taking him around his plane slowly day by day until he gets him to sit down and hold the controls. Jacob takes his shaking hand and rests it on the steering, whispering in his ear that he's ok and he would never let him get hurt, and that it's ok to be afraid but it's not ok to let it stop you from living.

A week later they take a scenic flight over Whitetail Mountains, complete with plenty of kisses after they land.

galen/jacob is beautiful and canon and Jacob goes to therapy after Joseph gets arrested and he lives in a tiny cottage in the woods with Galen who is the love of his life and finally sees that he is a worthwhile person even when he isn't strong
