Thank you Nav this was really touching. 🫂 I'm glad that people enjoy the questions and I strive to be a mostly positive person some days that's a little more difficult than others. But I do genuinely love seeing everyone's work and the passion and thought that they have put into it. There are countless stories put there and finding out the small details that are overlooked can be a fun part of getting to know the story while it's being worked on. The writing community is a wonderful place to hang out and I think we can all agree on that. Thank you for the appreciation post it really means a lot to me.
Also @thecomfywriter you brighten up the writing community as well and I always look forward to seeing your post and our chats.
Amon inspiration pictures from Pinterest as requested
the top left would be his ears and piercings and what his adult horns will look like.
Top right is face and the royal aesthetic he would have grown up with.
Bottom is the fashion he likes to where with the pirates and how he normally has his hair to hide the little nubs of horns he has currently. Although he tends to where more black and white then just black lol. Can't take all the boys roots away from him. He is a spirit fae at the end of the day.

Rules: Imagine your characters are going on a trip for vacation. Which ones are most likely to fit the roles below?
1. Doing mad research for an affordable place for everyone to stay.
Galen: it's part of the job description... Daimhín would just break in.. otherwise*sighing in annoyance*
2. Hoping to try all the new food they can.
Silent Jack: gesturing around.
Kenny: no we can not try each place...pick one then we can try another tomorrow........ *He continues to ramble about tomorrow's plans*
3. Wants to stay inside and sleep through the whole vacation.
Adoh: Nay, I don't want to see this goodnight....let me know when we're heading back for the ship.
4. Believes no vacation is complete without certain activities (going to the beach, swimming, skiing, sightseeing, hiking, etc, whatever they're passionate about).
Daimhín: we have to do something memorable if it's a vacation...for us and the locals.
Oisìn: just don't get caught.
Daimhín: yer coming with.
Oisìn *raised an eyebrow*
Daimhín *puppy eyes*
Oisìn: fine!
5. Is annoyed that certain people are in the same travel group as them.
Oisìn: I love the crew but some of them make me contemplate shoving them overboard intentionally.
6. Buying souvenirs for everyone back home.
Amon: what they will come in handy, I have seen it.
7. Is about to turn this trip into a business trip.
Oisìn, Daimhín and Galen would be guilty of this...so would Morana... actually if they are off the ship there's usually business to be done.
who's your favourite character to write in tpkodr? what makes them your fav?
@the-letterbox-archives thank you for the ask
On the grounds my favorite character only will have maybe two or three scenes in the first book I will not answer jade lol...
So for the first book it would have to be Oisìn or Amon
Oisìn is a complex character who has really shity luck, he is a firecracker and shorter in stature who is extremely loyal once you have earned that loyalty...even if it is not returned. All-around as a mc he is fun to write

Oisìn raised an eyebrow and said, “pirates choice.” He was not going to state his preference in a fight, so that information could be used against him later.
Amon. He is a seer and a little shit, he has a sad past and is a royal spirit fae who was left for dead by his family....seriously he needs to stop trying to guide the hands of fate to the outcome he desires...does it usually work. Yes but when it doesn't well let's just say it's a shity day for everyone involved (I spent a majority of the time side eyeing him lol) all around as a side character he gives me a headache but he is a favorite regardless

Amon wearily said, “that is for you to find out …there are many paths this could take.”
C.W Technically dubious consent of a kiss sorta, spoilers, idiots being idiots, they are both clueless.
The second meeting Amon glanced at the Xerex king that had been on the ship with them for a while before being crowned. He hadn't seen that coming which was unusual but sometimes he wasn't permitted to know everything in which would soon happen. Which was a good thing. His mind wasn't created for that at least he didn't think it was; he shouldn't even be having these visions but he knew now that they had happened for a reason. His attention snapped back to the meeting at hand when Oscar walked over.
“Care to take a walk?” the man asked with a hand held out.
He chuckled because the gesture reminded him of their first dance on the ship, it was a little blurry towards the end but he did remember the fun they had while dancing. He accepted his hand as he stood and followed him out of the room. The chats they had on the ship after their sparring match played through his mind as he noticed the other man had grown. It felt more like meeting an old friend then meeting someone they had only known for a little while. He remained quiet as he observed around them, the castle halls looked so different from the castle he had grown up in.
The cobblestone walls didn't shine with the souls of those who went against them, the floors didn't blind one with the shimmering shine of diamonds reflecting light. In a way, being in this castle far from home made him feel homesick, but he could never return there; they had made that abundantly clear. He wasn't wanted by the fae and he wasn't wanted by his birth family nor would he likely be wanted by whoever the gods had picked to be his soulbond.
Although he wouldn't know if he was rejected until he met them and he wouldn't know who it was until his 21st birthday when he finally came of age, no fae would risk their bond so they avoided dating until they met their future soulbond. They too might not want him when the time came but the pirates… the pirate's had carved out a spot for him in their little makeshift family. That was enough for him, the ship was his home now and he needed to forget of his time as a child..it didn't suit him now and it never would again, it was the path and past best left forgotten.
They walked towards the royal garden of the castle, a small smile graced his face as he looked at all of the flowers within, even spotting a few that shouldn't have been here as they usually only grew near the royal palace of spirit fae he had grown up in. The pang of nostalgia burned with the force of a dozen suns as he looked away from them and back to Oscar who had his usual goofy smile. Perhaps he hadn't changed much if he could still light up, eventually that would change as no one wore a crown and escaped unscathed. The thought made him sad although he didn't know why.
“How has the ship been treating you? Any interesting run-ins?” The king asked softly.
Amon shook his head and replied, “same old, same old, the tension is higher but that's to be expected. How about you?”
“Well seeing as I'm not on a ship, it's hard to tell if it's treating me well.” the man chuckled before growing serious. “ It's been going…a lot of adjusting..I miss my aba… he would have led the way with a grace I find myself lacking.” Oscar replied.
He tilted his head as he softly replied, “perhaps instead of asking what it is he would do or say.. do what you think is best. You are not his shadow, you are not him nor are you meant to be.” No one was meant to toss themselves away to be another, it would only break them in time. The fae had seen it a few times, it was something Amon knew at the deepest levels. After all, he had tried it himself for a time. He had tried to hide his visions when they had first started but eventually his eyes had betrayed his will.
They sat in silence and Amon was beginning to wonder why he had been asked here. He had figured that Oscar would get to the point by now and he was getting tempted to try to take a peek into the future but he didn't want the headache of looking when it wasn't granted naturally as it tended to render his moonstone necklace useless for a time in payment.
Nothing ever truly came free when it came to the powers of a fae but most were not aware of the cost the exchange that the powers took as the species didn't want to look weak. Not even the pirates he was with, knew everything of the fae and it would stay that way as there was no reason for them to know. Hill and Adoh knew and that was enough for him. They could bitch about it together while trying to guide the events around them.
Oscar said, “How's the captain been? He's not exactly talkative to me even now.”
He laughed at that as he knew what their problem was and he found it amusing..it had been a hell of a way to meet Oisìn in his eyes. Oscar really should have known that a kid wouldn't have been on the docks at that time but he shook his head and fondly said, “Well now that Daimhín's back and we have the sullen prince…i would say things are back on the path they were always supposed to take.”
“You always have the most cryptic things to say even for a seer, I could listen to it for hours and still not find the deepest meaning to it but I'd enjoy it.” Oscar stated with an odd look on his face as he looked at him.
Amon's eyebrow furrowed as he tried to figure that out before shrugging it off, if it was something dangerous he would have a vision. “Well, I do not want to change the path in unexpected ways…it never ends well for anyone you know?”
“I can imagine but I do not know that..” the king stated softly. “This garden was my grandmother's design..she was a lady who married my grandfather Gregg Winslow. She enjoyed gardens and was friends with the Queen at the time…I spent quite a bit of my childhood helping the other groundskeepers when I wasn't terrorizing my fathers.”
He said, “that must have been nice, she had a lovely taste in flowers and design if it's all the way she designed.”
“Not quite everything is the same but a majority of it is, the moon flowers and crescent spirit flowers I had added..they reminded me of someone.” Oscar stated.
Amon said, “That's nice that you would do that for the someone that it reminded you of. They are more common near my homelands, you know?”
“I did know that…” Oscar sighed before continuing, “In fact it is quite difficult to find outside of that region..but let's not focus on that..”
Amon sighed, “I take it you wish to discuss the Queen's then?” It was the only reason he could think of that they would talk, the tension running high with what Kia had done.
“No, I know either you or Morana would have sent a message if you knew something you could help with…Jade isn't likely to share more than he has yet..and I can not fault him for that. He is safe with your crew?” Oscar asked.
Amon tilted his head and debated how to answer that one as there was a lot left open with that phrasing. He wasn't sure of the intention of the enquiry. “He is the safest with us…but danger lurks for all within the lands and waters in times like these.”
The king nodded and gestured to the garden and said, “the birds will be coming by anytime now…the geese are on a schedule that never falters.”
Amon was amused as the geese ran through he had expected to see the wild variety but they were not wild…he doubted they could fly but he couldn't judge them for that after all he had no wings to do so. They were pecking at the ground and getting grass and shaking their heads sending it flying when they pulled too much. The nibbling sound of their serrated beaks was amusing to him.
He turned to see the king was looking at him with that goofy smile again. He didn't understand why though but humans overall confused him even though he lived with a ship full of them. They were easily manipulated and swayed most of the time but he still couldn't understand why some things made some smile and why it didn't for others…then again he was still young by fae terms so perhaps the understanding would come in time.
The look grew stranger once again with something he didn't recognize and Oscar leaned closer to him. He was wondering if there was something on his face.
Amon's eyes widened in surprise as Oscar continued to get closer to him. He was unsure of what exactly was happening. His visions were not showing him anything. Their lips connected, realizing it was a kiss he pushed the king away.
“You are not mine.” Amon said as he quickly walked away despite feeling something was off. That was wrong, it shouldn't have happened. They were not mates. His mind swirling with the fact it hadn't felt wrong which was wrong in and of itself. Perhaps he was more of a freak by fae standards than he knew.
Oscar followed behind and said, “I didn't mean to upset you…I should have made my intentions more clear.”
Amon paused and turned to look warily. It went against his beliefs as a fae to do anything before he found his soulbond. That was something reserved for the one chosen by the gods for them, not for someone else. A part of him whispering he shouldn't have let him get so close then, which was true he had time to pull away and that's what irritated him more than anything.
He scowled as he turned fully to face him. “You shouldn't have done that.”
“I apologize… I thought you knew.” Oscar mumbled.
He shook his head and he stated, “I accept your apology as I know you don't know a lot about fae as a human..but we do not play around. We each have someone made just for us out there.” It didn't make it right but..he didn't want to stay mad it wouldn't change the fact that they had kissed, even if only briefly.
“How do you know it's them?” Oscar asked softly.
Amon shrugged, “You just know…each type explains it differently. The earth fae..to them it feels like coming home and they anchor themselves together, to the fire fae it's a burning need for the other and their hearts fire merges into one. Supposedly to the spirit fae it feels like you have always known them and the souls dance until they intertwine into one. But no fae knows before their maturity.”
Oscar smiled and tilted his head as he said, “Then you can't know for certain that we are not.”
Amon sighed as he didn't want to entertain the thought only to be hurt later, it was why it was forbidden. That and the fact that most soulbonds were highly possessive of each other and would rip someone apart for something like that.. especially the fire fae but spirit fae were not particularly playing around when it came to possessiveness either.
“Don't.” was all he warned before walking away. He was done with the conversation. He had no intention of taking any chance of upsetting his future soulbond further..he'd avoid the kingdom moving forward now that he knew of the human king's crush, it would be for the best. Fae were rarely given humans for mates and it almost never ended well when it did happen.
