Sorry that I haven't been posting much but I was kinda focusing on finishing up some projects and editing...plus life was chaotic.
Chapter 0
Anton the advisor walked in and bowed before asking, “How is the youngest prince my queen?”
Kia responded, “He is well, you haven't asked his name yet.”
Anton chided, “It's bad luck to share the name of the child before the naming ceremony, you should remember that. It's been in place for many generations… you wouldn't want to curse the young one to a horrible life now, would you?”
She rolled her eyes and said, “I know but surely it's okay for a few of the closest advisors to know. After all, technically he was named at birth.”
The advisor sighed, “You are the Queen, it is your decision, but it goes against tradition. I fear it would anger the gods.”
“And if I already told another?” She inquired.
“Then I fear it would be too late to spare the boy from the many divine eyes,” he warned.
She sighed, “Very well then, what's a few more hours anyway?”
Sulking at the fact he hadn't taken the bait. She would need to find a new advisor soon; this one had outlived its usefulness.

Thank you for the ask. Ok so here's another ask on Prince jade that gets into his past a little
spoilers below the line
Jade has a magic collar ...that was made by the fae. He has been resurrected via necromancy... his family sucks .. he is kinda cursed but that's not super relevant at the moment...is the cliff notes
Jade grew up with two older siblings and two younger siblings who could do no wrong. He was singled out as the only redhead in the family besides for the Queen's dead sister Liliana. Queen Kia hated her sister and everyone else is just glad they are not Jade and tend to make things worse...the three times he was kidnapped in the past was always treated like he had ran away....after the General's brought and back usually General Luke who will tie with Kia for villain role in book two.
Jade is one of the main characters of book two which gets into the royal family's and the politics on the kingdom and pirates side of the world.
Galen is the other main character who is the second in command in the Bioluminescence sea under Daimhín's command. He tends to do a lot of the work that Daimhín delegates but he doesn't mind. Also Jades love interest or is jade his love interest you know what I'm confusing myself there so on to the next thing.
Jade also has a extreme fear of water after being water boarded...so him being on a ship is going to be a blast to write and please pay attention to the warnings I put on the book as his will be rather dark.
Also Jade and Oisìn have been inadvertently been saving each other's life for years.
Nimue blinked and said, “I can not hear your thoughts.” She frowned before saying. “You must have spent some time in my father's ranks then, he tends to shroud those who have touched him and walked away.”
The man said, “You're forgetting something darling, you're just as bad as your brother sometimes.” Shaking his head he said, “She the goddess of water and swords sorta—I'm her husband Davy Jones, nice ta meet ya.”
He blanched as he heard the names and knew gods were standing before him, gods who he had prayed to as a child and they had only gone unanswered. The gods who had forsaken him to his mother! The gods who had allowed Maggie to die. He didn't trust them at all, the gods hadn't interfered for him, so why should he aid them with anything now?
Nimue said, “I can remove the collar around your neck if you agree to take this.”
That was the last straw for his temper. It felt as though he was boiling inside, his rage had steeped long enough in its brewing. He glared at the goddess and without much thought involved as he didn't care if he died for the blasphemy; he was not even scared of the pain that would surely come from yelling. He stated vehemently, “I will not help you with anything!! Why should I? I prayed the first several years of my life to any fucking god that would listen!! And what good did that do me? None.”
He took a deep breath and continued “I care not for the gods who cared not for me, I don't care!”
This was the first time he had snapped in years and if it hadn't been at a goddess he may have been proud of himself.

Pirate king Daimhín Heorot: antagonizes the Royal's of Tarak by going after their vessel's. Usually leaving the cargo vessels alone as they had minimum defense and usually didn't have the good cargo. Until he crossed paths with Oisìn Mallory then things slowly change.
Tarak fleet captain Oisìn Mallory: has a past he is haunted by and a distrust for royalty. Has to accept aid from a pirate and to make it worse it's not any pirate but one of the pirate kings.
secrets revealed, royals exposed and something dark stirring in the shadows. Will they survive the manipulations of a seer with good intentions or will their enemies get them first?
series summary: the gods of old are still interfering in the world. One is trapped within the shadow realms will he be set free or will he die? The fae royalty are not quite what they seem. Will the pirates find out about their cursed god and change the world or will it burn to ashes? Will others meddling cause it to unfold and will it be revealed of that is the case?

“Since you have yet to say something to me, mind if I call ya Silent Jack?” He was trying to get a reaction out of him.
Jack shrugged and went to leave.
“There's a spot on the crew if yer interested in sailing the Bioluminescence seas.” Curious if the lad had an interest in joining a crew to get away from here as most people in this area didn't exactly want to be here. The other side of Xerex was nicer but this side had been neglected by the royals.
Jack turned back and shook his head gesturing around him and pointing to his ears.
He realized then perhaps Silent Jack wasn't ignoring him, so much as couldn't respond and probably wasn't used to communicating other ways yet if the recently healed scar on his throat was the reason for him being silent.
He took a guess at it and said, “Ye have heard it before?” It was worth the surprised look he got with a slight nod.
Although he felt a pang in his chest when hurt entered Jack's brown eyes before the man turned away from him and walked off.
He stared after, wondering if Jack would warm up to him. If not he was certain they would port here again soon, there was something about the guy that drew him in and he figured the man would be worth the wait.
