For the OC Pairings tag: Braith/Morana

Morana is a shaman aboard the pirate ship who hasn't really been raised amongst her own, so to speak. She is definitely a bit of a wolf, but she randomly adopts people into her pack...but ahh don't threaten them.

Braith is an ex assassin who was aboard another pirate crew's ship until her queen ordered her to be an emissary. She is also rather cold, but in comparison to Morana she may come across as the Saner of the two...but only if you can excuse the murder, mayham and her incurable boredom... Which leads to her poking at nearly everything and everyone for reactions. 🤦

They are both ace leaning but very curious about the other, flirting is more along the line of games and threats that slowly grows into more..but honestly there is still a chance they will stab the other 🤷 both of them have some quirks.

Happy STS! What’s something small in your WIP that has way more meaning than it seems? (No rush to answer this btw <3)

This one is hard to answer, on one hand I could say something to do with souls but that would get into spoiler territory quick. Perhaps, the way certain bloodlines seem to constantly run into each other?

Also owls have a lot of meaning...to the storyline.

However if you meant what hidden messages are in the story, well, I don't know. I add them as I write and don't tend to think about them beyond how they will connect to the story and overall picture.

Happy Storyteller Saturday! What is a favorite line you've written recently?

Thank you for the ask, it would be a line from— (The pirates shaman's assassin book three of the pirate's cursed god series—) that I had fun with not that long ago really. Overall most of my newer lines are from book three but favorites that don't include a ton of spoilers are rare as a lot of stuff happened in book two...

Morana coldly laughed, “You know not what powers I hold. Do not assume to know me. You may bring death, but I can bring far worse.” Her tone was a sharp warning as she grew tired of being questioned. The power charged the air with static electricity as she glared across at the pale-haired woman, she didn't much like being questioned.

Happy Storyteller Saturday! How would your oc(s) describe themselves?

Sorry I'm answering this so late but life has been busy, and the characters didn't want to cooperate with me. 😅

Oisìn would probably say that he doesn't really fit in with the pirates while Daimhín argues that he does indeed fit in with the crew.

Daimhín would probably say that he is fair but in truth he is usually soft hearted and rescuing people....but also boyo has a body count.....

Galen would like to say that he is patient but that is not always true but he is better about it than most people on the ship.

Jade before book two would probably say that he is just along for the ride and wondering where the exit is

Sorry that I haven't been posting much but I was kinda focusing on finishing up some projects and editing...plus life was chaotic.

Chapter 0

Anton the advisor walked in and bowed before asking, “How is the youngest prince my queen?”  Kia responded, “He is well, you haven't asked his name yet.” Anton chided, “It's bad luck to share the name of the child before the naming ceremony, you should remember that. It's been in place for many generations… you wouldn't want to curse the young one to a horrible life now, would you?”  She rolled her eyes and said, “I know but surely it's okay for a few of the closest advisors to know. After all, technically he was named at birth.”  The advisor sighed, “You are the Queen, it is your decision, but it goes against tradition. I fear it would anger the gods.”  “And if I already told another?” She inquired. “Then I fear it would be too late to spare the boy from the many divine eyes,” he warned. She sighed, “Very well then, what's a few more hours anyway?”  Sulking at the fact he hadn't taken the bait. She would need to find a new advisor soon; this one had outlived its usefulness.

Snippet from chapter seven of book two (TPCP)

Nimue blinked and said, “I can not hear your thoughts.” She frowned before saying. “You must have spent some time in my father's ranks then, he tends to shroud those who have touched him and walked away.” The man said, “You're forgetting something darling, you're just as bad as your brother sometimes.” Shaking his head he said, “She the goddess of water and swords sorta—I'm her husband Davy Jones, nice ta meet ya.” He blanched as he heard the names and knew gods were standing before him, gods who he had prayed to as a child and they had only gone unanswered. The gods who had forsaken him to his mother! The gods who had allowed Maggie to die. He didn't trust them at all, the gods hadn't interfered for him, so why should he aid them with anything now? Nimue said, “I can remove the collar around your neck if you agree to take this.” That was the last straw for his temper. It felt as though he was boiling inside, his rage had steeped long enough in its brewing. He glared at the goddess and without much thought involved as he didn't care if he died for the blasphemy; he was not even scared of the pain that would surely come from yelling. He stated vehemently, “I will not help you with anything!! Why should I? I prayed the first several years of my life to any fucking god that would listen!! And what good did that do me? None.” He took a deep breath and continued “I care not for the gods who cared not for me, I don't care!” This was the first time he had snapped in years and if it hadn't been at a goddess he may have been proud of himself.

Chapter 8: Galen's pov It was a few minutes before even the kitten got through to the lad. Jade's eyes began to clear up and he looked around before softly croaking, “Why would pirates drag me along?” He didn't think Jade realized that he had spoken out loud but he replied just as softly, “This side isn't all that bad. We may be pirates but you can't say we are cold blooded, can you?”
