on the subject of the differences between fire and blood and house of the dragon. i do feel its actually very believable the men writing the histories in f&b wouldnt be able to see alicent with any complexity. that they would be happy to present her as just a bitch, and never actively dispute it in their writings despite the evidence of a gentler side to her... and its very fucking ironic that much of the fandoms reaction to hotd alicent mirrors that misogyny.

i like to think i’m pretty easy to please, it’s oh so rare that i find a film completely irredeemable, but i do remember vehemently hating the last of the star wars sequels.

watched the wilds bc of ur posts and man (controversial take) if leah isnt one of my fav characters in a long time

LEAH IS SO UNAPPRECIATED! leah is us! she is just as perplexed by this entire situation as we are and she’s such a good character that moves this story forward! like she’s a point of confict for other characters, especially nora towards the end of season 1! nora did not count on her getting out of that hole at all and her constantly be insistent on something else going on drives the plot forward. she’s in places she shouldn’t be and ends up seeing things she shouldn’t, forcing other characters to act. 

also i think she’s a call back to the conformity test linh is apart when they give jeanette’s backstory! she’s ultimately the only one who breaks from the rest of the group and no one believes her about anything that’s going on the island! she doesn’t believe that linh’s body was just washed away. she caught on the pilots bag just happening to have just what they needed to survive in addition to shelby finding the suitcase. she’s picking up what everyone else is missing! and that is so important to the plot. without leah, none of this would be happening.
