as previously stated, the timeline of the group ic is currently going slower, to allow more time for our current spring semester plot arc to finish and leave more room for the school year to be written. the admins have decided that the last day of the spring semester in character will be TUESDAY, MAY 25 & out of character for the semester ending will be on FRIDAY, JUNE 25. and it’s with a heavy heart that june 25 will also be the last day of gallagher as a group.
this is a decision that the admin team does not take lightly, one we’ve been considering for several months now. we’re so proud of all gallagher’s become and the community we’ve built with it, but as we end our second school year since the group’s beginning, we feel that we’ve done all we can do as storytellers from the main’s perspective. we’ve gotten to meet so many fantastic characters and tell some amazing stories, but the group has also been a lot of hard work this past year and a half to run, and we unfortunately can’t keep up with the maintenance it deserves. this wasn’t an easy choice to make, but we want to take this opportunity to thank all our amazing members who have put so much time and energy into making this group as great as it could possibly be. we wouldn’t have gotten as far as we did without all of you, and we hope you respect and understand our decision.
we’re giving everyone a two month heads up for the sake of closing storylines and character arcs. gallagher will not be holding an internship program like they did last year, so start thinking about what they’ll be doing for the summer and beyond. more information will come as the date gets closer, but for now we’re business as usual, adhering to the same activity rules and still accepting applications, should anyone want to bring in a new muse before then. just a reminder that the event is still going on until sunday evening, and then expect a spicy plot drop on monday. there’s still more to go with the rest of this school year, so we hope this doesn’t dismay you from keeping active and staying excited for the group.

as we reach the halfway point of the spring semester, we are going to be closing applications for fourth years beginning monday, march 15. this is purely so nobody is short changed with time when the semester comes to an end...
which brings me to my next point : as what we did last year, we’re going to be stretching the rest of the spring semester time and making it so it doesn’t end ooc until june ( exact dates tbd ) , when in reality the spring semester ends for the characters in game at the end of may. this is purely to give us enough time for all the fun plot drops we have planned for the rest of the semester, and so there’s less summertime ic, as we are a college rp. keep in mind the dates of all our plot drops and our timeline page to keep up with rp time, since it’s going to be different than real time, which might be confusing. all this means for your threads is you have more time to complete them, so don’t stress !
i know it’s been a crazy time for a lot of people lately, with school and work and feeling the stress of one year since global lockdowns and all that fun stuff, but thank you all for being such loyal and active members and sticking by us throughout everything. this past year would’ve been far more stressful without the gallagher fam, and i hope everyone knows how appreciative we are of all of you. we have a fun plot drop next week to keep an eye out for, and until then if you have any questions or need anything at all, our inbox is always open !
