In 2018,  I had to have unexpected surgery. I'm 28 years old and healthy. I have an active job in theatre as a technical director. I was working on a show when I lifting something heavy backstage. I had a stabbing pain in my upper right side. After going to the ER and receiving an ultrasound, it was found that my gallbladder was full on stones. Having a healthy, active lifestyle was not enough to avoid them. The doctors informed me it was likely hereditary. I was able to have surgery the next week to remove my gallbladder completely. Thankfully recovery was quick except my inability to lift anything over 10lbs for 6 weeks. The total cost of the surgery ended up being around $10,000. My insurance covered all but slightly over $3,000. My income isn't bad, but I'm already paying off $30,000 of student loans and my medical bills have fallen behind and are now with a collector. Any help would be life changing. I'm young and single, I work roughly 60 hours a week, and I don't want my credit ruined because of this. I'm scared to go to a doctor now because I'm terrified of accumulating any more debt. Please, any help would set me on the right track.
