Cool show of materials used and developed in Tom Sachs Mission to Mars that was held a couple of years ago at the Armory on the upper east side of Manhattan. The hand made-ness just shows through and his iconic signature and humorous nomenclature are a blast to review. It’s as if he’s using the same amount of energy to make the real thing, but he makes the real thing look bad in a very specific Tom Sachs way.
