If I hit an opponent for a total of 18 commander damage with my commander, then another player gains control of my commander hits the same player again for 6, does that player now lose due to commander damage from my commander?

Yes, that player will lose the game.

Commander damage is tracked for each commander (or pair of commanders) vs. each player, no matter who controlled those commanders when they dealt the combat damage.

Is Unearth and activated ability and does it get reduced via Training Grounds or Heartstone?

Yes, Unearth is an activated ability. You can tell that this is so because the reminder text spells it out in terms of a cost, i.e. mana, and an effect, i.e. returning the creature to the battlefield for the turn.However, Unearth costs won't be reduced by Heartstone or Training Grounds as those cards only reduce the costs of activated abilities of creatures on the battlefield and not of creature cards in other zones such as the graveyard. If they reduced these sorts of costs, then they would say "creature cards" rather than just "creatures", which is shorthand for creature permanents on the battlefield. (Another way to tell that this is the case is to look at Training Grounds, which refers to "creatures you control". Only permanents and spells and abilities on the stack have controllers. Objects in other zones only have owners, not controllers.)

If I use deflecting palm to prevent the damage from a creature with double strike, does the palm only prevent the first strike damage or all of it?

Deflecting Palm only prevents damage “the next time” the chosen source would deal damage. For a creature with double strike, this means that it will only prevent one of the two instances of combat damage.

Storm creates copies of the spell directly on the stack. They’re not cast, which is important because otherwise their own storm triggers would trigger. Cascade won’t trigger either here, since the copies aren’t cast.

Could I use Null Brooch with an empty hand?

Yes.

“Discard your hand” means “discard all the cards in your hand.” If the number of cards in your hand is 0, then that’s the number of cards you have to discard to activate Null Brooch.
