Races of Gallinia — Part One
A comprehensive list of the various races that one can meet while traveling through the world of HoF.
Humans
The species with the widest range within all of Gallinia; humans are known to persevere no matter what condition they may be met with. You’re more likely to run across them than any other species.
They widely inhabit the major cities within Gallinia; the ruling family being of this race as well.
They live, on average, for about 80-100 Years.
High Elves
High Elves are known far and wide for their magical and combat capabilities. However, they’re seldom seen outside of their home within the Ruarza Forest; where they live in villages within the towering trees. Being one with the nature as their ancestors before them were. One High Elf you can come across is the Matriarch herself.
They’re the oldest living species when it comes to the humanoid races. Living upwards of 1000 Years.
Moon Elves
Like their distant cousins, Moon Elves are seldom seen outside of their home within the Hūra Forest. Unlike their distant cousins, however, Moon Elves mainly come out during the night. Rejoicing in the light that the moon gives them. They’re a lot more temperamental then High Elves, but they’re easier to handle if it comes to an all out fight. If you’re feeling brave enough to get into one with them…
They live for about 800 Years, on average, but there have been Moon Elves that have lived for 1000.
Avariel
More widespread and sociable, Avariel can be found within various cities throughout Gallinia. The highest density of them being found within Ilybren— The Floating City— which happens to be their birthplace and home. Strong warriors and scouts, Avariel are set apart because of the wings that sprout from their back; something that gives them an aerial advantage but hollower bones in order to make it occur. You’ll mainly come across diplomats; as their warriors tend to stay within The Floating City.
They live, on average, for about 1000 Years.
Orcs
Strong warriors, Orcs are commonly seen within tribes that rarely deviate from the rocky terrain that they call home within the various mountain ranges of Gallinia; this causes numerous battles between them and the Dwarves that live within the very range. While they’re not the smartest creatures out there— on a wide scale level anyway— they more than make up for it with their prowess in battle.
They live, on average, for about 100-150 Years. Though most die well before then in battle.
Dwarves
Master Smiths, Dwarves are rarely seen within the above world as they make their home deep within the Earth. Dwarven Crafts are highly sought after for their ingenuity and durability; the only thing contending with them being the personal weapons that are created for each Rider within Haven. They’ve had bad blood within the resident Orcs as both encroach on the other.
They live, on average, for about 500 Years.
Kriarcean
The Gallinia version of mermaids that live within the Hasmere Sea. Kriarcean come in many different types; from the carnivorous sharks to the gentle angelfish. Each type has learned to live in harmony with the other and, because of that, the Hasmere Sea has benefitted.
No one knows how long they live for.
Vampires
Vampires are broken into two groups within Gallinia.
Normal: The classic vampire— tall, dark, and handsome. Their darkness will forever live in them but they exercise control in all things because they don’t want to into monstrosities. A common trademark among them being they all have red eyes with flecks of their human eye color within them.
Lumine: The Lumine are what happens when a vampire caves into their carnal desires; who have given up their humanity to the darkness that wells within them. They’re ravenous and, if seen, must be put done. As there’s nothing left to save with them; they’re humanity is long gone.
They’re immortal.
Wolf Shifters
Pack animals, wolf shifters are seldom seen without their pack somewhere nearby. Protective and territorial, shifters will stand guard of their territory until they die or they’re forced out. There are no better protectors than shifters; barring the Riders themselves.
They live, on average, for about 500-800 Years.
