Nico was a farmer. He worked near active volcano sites for Incineroses. Roses streaked with fire that burn brightly. Only a select handful of people can gather them without severely injuring themselves. Unfortunately, the flowers are not the only hazard in that line of work— even though it pays well— wraiths are too.

Joscelyn was a merchant. She had a bad run in with some... marauders and was captured. After some time she took control and became their Queen. Until a bad injury some years later forced her into what she is now. Being forced to leave everything else behind.
