Even if you absolutely hate your teachers/bosses, be a decent person to them. You don't have to like them and you don't' have to be a suck up, but it makes your life a lot easier, and opens up opportunities.

I like when people are honest about things, like for example if a friend doesn't like something you do, they straight up tell you, instead of keeping it to themselves. It's really destructive when people just kind of keep things like that to themselves...
