✿. Another six months just breezed by, but she couldn’t recall the last time her husband hadn’t stepped out of the train and onto the platform to take her hand. Hades’ absence had left her and Hermes a tad bit awestruck as the two of them exchanged glances before she boarded and made her way to the usual cabin where she hoped to find a black dog resting soundly.

The cabin is empty without Hades in man or his chosen guise. How strange indeed.

Concern hadn’t taken hold of her as she reached the end of the line even still without her husband’s familiar silhouette, and she paid no mind to the Fates giggling in the shadows as she began to make her way home on foot.

Nothing else seemed out of place from the railway workers to construction and even her speakeasy had its usual spirits and creatures socializing.

When the house servant mentioned her moniker with a gasp as she entered the manor she finally noticed the edges of her green dress fading to the dark hues as she got rid of her coat, dropping bag and heavy fur. Persephone took in a breath and exhaled seconds after. If she’d been unconsciously wilting then she had underestimated her obvious distress.

She began towards the direction of Hades’ office, knocking softly with hopes that he’d just fallen into a slumber at his desk before entering. “...Lover?”
