Summer Chord and Chord are confirmed to not share weapons; they also note that Tempest Wind does not share weapons with Wind, which is interesting, because they used to. I guess they're changing that in this update?
They still don't clarify where the Lufel and Hua Po claw machine plushies will be available, or for how long

They also posted a lyric video for Ayaka's new song, but the lyrics are in Japanese, so it doesn't have an English translation for them. I'll translate it later today, or tomorrow if I don't have time before datamining the update!
The twitter account that did the Q&A translation is @Persona5X_News it’s from the offline meet and greet event that just happened, I’m just writing down the account name that did the translation since in the past tumblr has been kind of finicky when I’ve tried to put links in asks.
(Response to this post.)
Oh, haha, I must've overlooked their thread about that Q&A, thanks for letting me know! Since it's on Twitter, I'm going to copy their translation of the Q&A over here for accessibility purposes, but full credit to Persona5X_News on Twitter for this:
They included this note at the start: This is a summary of the questions that were asked at the event and might differ from the actual statement that was said.
Are there any plans for collaborations with other titles in the Persona series, or non-Persona ATLUS games?
A: We have a strong desire to do so, and we have received many requests from fans. We would love to collaborate not only with P5S (Persona 5 Strikers) and P5T (Persona 5 Tactica), but also P5R, PQ, P-Studio dancing games (P3D/P4D/P5D), P4U2 (Persona 4 Arena Ultimax), and so on.
As for non-Persona ATLUS titles, we are also interested in projects like Metaphor: ReFantazio and Shin Megami Tensei. However, the development costs are a significant factor.
Therefore, we'd love for you to actively post about the series you want to see collaborate with us on social media to help apply some friendly pressure!
Also, in terms of practical feasibility, having "existing 3D full-body models" makes a collaboration much easier to realize. In that sense, P5S would be relatively straightforward to do.
On the other hand, titles with chibi/deformed art styles like P5T, or works that don't have 3D models to begin with, are highly challenging!
What do you keep in mind when creating characters? Also, what kind of characters do you want to create in the future?
A: What we keep in mind is "reality." ATLUS in particular is very particular about the difference between "reality" and "real."
As for characters we want to create, we want to create a lot more male characters! (Apparently there is a strong request for this from the development team)
What led to the development of the game? Also, do you have any stories about difficulties you faced?
A: We received a proposal for an online game from Perfect World, but we struggled to balance the gameplay of an online title with the signature style of an ATLUS game. We reached out to SEGA for help, which led to the creation of the three-company system. At the time, Perfect World surprised the ATLUS team by getting Persona 5 to run on an iPhone 7.
Honestly, seeing leaked information from the Chinese/Asian version makes me feel like I'm being spoiled, which isn't pleasant. The official livestreams also focus heavily on the Chinese/Asian version. Are there any plans to separate the information for the Chinese/Asian version and the Japanese/Western version in the future?
A: To be honest, it is not that we actively want to put out information regarding the Chinese/Asian version either, but we are forced to talk about it to provide context for balance adjustments and other updates. That being said, we completely agree with your point regarding the current situation where everything seems to revolve around the Chinese/Asian version.
I assume the current schedule is meant to catch up to the Chinese/Asian version, but will this pace continue?
A: Currently, we receive many opinions from both sides, some saying the update frequency is too high, and others wanting us to catch up to the Chinese/Asian version as quickly as possible. As a result, the update schedule for the Japanese/Western version has ended up in an awkward middle ground.
When adapting content from the Chinese/Asian version to the Japanese/Western version, we supervise the process based on event clear rates in the Chinese/Asian version to ensure it is more enjoyable, adjusting the time required to complete events to match the shorter update pace. However, instead of simply shortening everything, we believe a balance is necessary to also introduce new content.
That being said, as the main story approaches its core mysteries and major developments, we want to avoid having those parts release early in the Chinese/Asian version, so we do want to catch up there. Yet, if we only accelerate the main story, it will lose consistency with events and other elements, so it isn't that simple. We are working hard to adjust this.
[End of Q&A]
Persona5X_News also said of the fan event:
They also mentioned that the P3P x P5X event is separate from the P3R collab and will focus on Kotone. In addition P3P tracks will be present.
The idea to implement Justine and Caroline as the first simultaneous worldwide characters came from Uda during a meeting.
They traveled to Beijing up to 20 times during the development of the collab.
During the final stages of developing the worldwide collab, they found a massive error with the twins' positioning, to the point of having to redo their model and artwork.
According to Matsunaga, the first and second chapters of P5X contained many elements that paid homage to Persona 5. However, from Chapter 3 onwards, they decided to create something unique to P5X.
In addition, from Chapter 3 onwards, a collaborative system was established among the three companies, and they incorporated ideas they thought would be absolutely interesting.
[Points Incorporated in Chapter 3]
- Addition of Riko, who is the intellectual type (+ differentiation from P5 3rd-years)
- Setting the enemy as an intellectual opponent who won't be easily defeated.
- In addition, making it a battle to save Riko's benefactor.
- The Phantom Thieves also do not act on impulse, but deploy a clever strategy that corners the Palace owner in reality as well.
- Broadening the perspective on good vs. evil regarding "What is justice? What is evil?"
- Emphasizing that each chapter has a theme (Chapter 3 is "Unconditional Love").
- Creating a sense of freshness with the series' first "Composite Palace" + A deeper dive into the settings of the Treasure and Palace.
- The protagonist's visions are deeply involved in the mystery of the story.
The developers also asked players to play the new story chapters as soon as they drop and to talk about the story on social media as well.
They acknowledged that the Hatsune Miku collaboration presented some challenges, stating that it was difficult to create a collaboration that wouldn't compromise the world of P5X, and that the volume of story content was lacking.
Since Atlus didn't have experience with external collabs, Sega helped out.
A rough version of the "Wiping All Out" remix was played exclusively at the venue.
During Yusuke Nitta's visits to Perfect World headquarters, he always gets Mala Tang, to the point of having a dedicated corner in the company cafeteria called "Nitta's Restaurant."
As a writer for both P5S and P5T, Yusuke Nitta has a desire to do a collaboration event between both games.
Dialogue changes were made in the Japanese/English versions of the game for the Valentine's events to differentiate between lovers and casual friends.
Mio Natsukawa was initially supposed to wear a firefighter outfit as a casual outfit, but it was rejected because it didn't feel realistic enough.
Manaka and Chizuko Nagao were both created at the same time, but early on they weren't confident about going with Manaka.
Desire Gallery, Mindscape Core Activation, and the Ranking Menu(?) are currently in development.
A roadmap was also shown that confirms 4.7 will be the next main story update:
(After "SUMMER", which goes into August, a main story update to Chapter 4 is listed for August as well. It is referred to as Version 4.7. It also mentions a "new character", almost certainly Berry.)
Are the other mode in tycoon unlocked in other servers?
In the other servers, we have three modes unlocked: 1) The online ranked matches against other players, 2) Matches against the computer, and 3) "Joyful Mode", where you play a single round online against other players and wager special coins. The fourth mode still hasn't been unlocked yet, if I recall correctly.
Do you have a list of what elements every character is strong and weak to?
I state what every character is weak to and resists on their info posts!
In general, collab characters have the same weakness and resistance as in their original game, while original characters (almost) always follow this pattern:
Fire teammates resist Fire and are weak to Wind
Ice teammates resist Ice and are weak to Bless
Electric teammates resist Electric and are weak to Ice
Wind teammates resist Wind and are weak to Psychokinesis
Nuclear teammates resist Nuclear and are weak to Fire
Psychokinesis teammates resist Psychokinesis and are weak to Curse
Bless teammates resist Bless and are weak to Nuclear
Curse teammates resist Curse and are weak to Electric
Physical teammates resist Physical and are weak to Gun
We only have one Gun teammate right now, and he seems to have kept the same weakness as his normal form has (he's weak to Bless), so I can't make a generalized statement about that element yet.
Starting in Chapter 6, "the default characters for use in main story battles will be Awareness Level 6"
Version 5.3.2 will add a new Dreamscape to Gates of the Nightmare Catcher
The Persona 3 protagonist, Yukari, and Akihiko are getting their Global buffs, as well as Wonder's Persona Throne
Aigis' A6 is being buffed
They're removing the "reduced percent-based damage taken" effect from existing enemies, and damage over time effects (burn, curse, bleed, etc.) based on a percent of the enemy's max HP now have a damage cap based on the attacker's attack stat
The Global account just announced that "Some contracts, events, and exchanges will have their scheduled end times adjusted as follows.
Before: Ending 10:59 AM, June 25
After: Ending 6:59 AM, June 25
*Please Note: Trials from the Sea of Souls and Gates of the Nightmare Catcher will instead end at 6:29 AM on June 25"
More information from the Version 5.1.2 info post today:
Synopsis for this update to the P5FES event: "Starlight Gala: The Twirling Breeze Chapter: A familiar figure—yet one distinct from any known entity—appears. "How best to explain this..." muses the Administrator, whose true identity remains a mystery, as they open the gates to a bizarre new world. Beneath a canopy of dazzling lights, familiar faces dance with abandon, ushering in a brand-new "story." As time passes, this enigmatic world seems to undergo a transformation; could new, mysterious guests be making an appearance?"
Starlight Mona and regular Mona do not share weapons
The Wonder World coin rewards (used to buy items to progress Sympathies) earned for fighting in the raid/collaborative boss fights have been increased by 50% for this update
The Yukari and Frostgale Mont rerun banners continue through to the end of this version
The limited-time Morgana and Lufel gachapon figurine set will be available until "the August 13, 2026 update maintenance", confirming that there will be an update then
New set effect added for 10 of Coins (Wealth) and Ace of Cups (Purity): During combat, attack stat buffed by 20%. After a critical hit, all allies receive a 12% damage bonus for 1 round.
There's some kind of new Contract Rebate reward system that the player can purchase from Marthym's shop, which seems to give back some tickets when you successfully pull the banner character in the next several versions (though you have to use those rebate tickets in the version you earned them, otherwise they become gold tickets)
The explanation for this Contract Rebate function indicates more dates and version numbers for several upcoming versions:
- "the update on June 19th", "the update on July 16th", and "the update on September 3rd" are mentioned. Notably, 6/19 is only two weeks from this one (rather than the usual three) and on a Friday instead of a Thursday. 6/25's update would be only a single week after that. This seems a little bizarre- I'm not sure if it's a typo, or if that's genuinely the schedule?
- Also, 7/16 would be between the 6/25 and 8/13 updates, and assuming it's the only update between them, that would mean 7/16's update is a 4-week version
- It looks like after this version (5.1.2) will be Version 5.2.1, v5.2.2, v5.3.1, and v5.3.2. Assuming all the above dates are correct, that would mean the v5.2.1 update is on 6/19, v5.2.2 is on 6/25, v5.3.1 is on 7/16, and v5.3.2 is on 8/13. The 9/3 update should be the next update after that
- All of this should get cleared up whenever they do the next preview livestream, sometime before v5.2.1 arrives
