New followers I just wanna let you know that I have the biggest beef with MatPat and Game Theory in general.

Undertale/DELTARUNE theory!

So we know to a certain extent that our beloved mysterious W.D. Gaster is behind the experiment we're (un)willingly participating in.

But how did we get to it?

We know that he was the Royal Scientist before he fell in the CORE. We assume that he also died in there. What if the CORE was a high-flux, Schwinger-level non-linear quantum cavity continuously driven by a conscious Determination field, say one of the souls that had determination extracted from it. The CORE’s magic waveguide was biased by a non-zero vacuum expectation value. as he fell into the central conduit, his own magic and monster soul and consciousness introduced an unplanned, secondary conscious field into the feedback loop

Maybe that caused a phase splitting, unraveling him through heat. Schwinger-level electromagnetic field decoupled his mass from localized space-time coordinates.

Maybe he didn't "die"/"fall" in the normal sense. Maybe his being got spread across an infinity of amplitudes, got himself flattened across the entire spatial domain

Maybe that caused him to "glitch out" of undertale due to this causing like a basic programming error. Like he got booted out of the game so to say. He was a variable that had its pointer deleted

What would be even more fun is that his files would not be deleted, but I assume if he would end up in an out of bounds (since the game can't find him to kill him anymore) he can technically directly impact the game. Think of it as being able to edit the code and input himself through fun values. Maybe he manages to take it a step further by completely creating deltarune, but only capable of making the game "happen" through us. He maybe thought it's an experiment, but he created a whole new reality that somehow loops itself back to undertale (sans' don't forget drawing in the hidden lab)

Okay so I'VE FINALLY started and finished Deltarune 1&2 (i was waiting for more chapters to release so I could continue more smoothly because i struggle with waiting)

Yes i know I'm late but hey I'm new here, I have not engaged with Deltarune fandom yet so let's go.

I just wanna theorise because when I do that with my friends they're like "it's not that deep because Kris is protagonist" like bro let me have fun??

Spoilers for 1&2 down below⚠️

My theory is that Kris is being abused(specifically : neglected in emotional needs) and most likely holds a grudge to his mother and maybe even his brother.

Remember I only have 1&2 context, if any of these questions and theories are answered in later chapters don't tell me or spoiler warn me lol.

First clue to me was the room Kris and Asriel shared because Asriel is CLEARLY the golden child, why is Asriels room so decorated and filled with accomplishments and more warmth? Everyone misses him, everyone constantly talks about him, Kris seems to be an afterthought.

Second clue was the fact that when Kris was busy slashing Toriels fucking tires after ripping out playercontrol/soul, Susie asked "where Kris? " and Toriel proceeds to say "Yeah Kris does that sometimes". That's a huge red flag because listen if a family member is kind of dissappeared, you go and ask them if they're OK and they'll answer you to not worry you, this whole Kris does that sometimes + the fact she calls the police after tires were slashed implies SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON, that's neglectful because any good parent would be concerned and go check if their kid is taking really long in the bathroom specifically to WASH THEIR HANDS mind you and if they do not answer after multiple asks (Kris literally left the bathroom) they will warn them to break open the door to make sure you're OK. If Kris wasn't an afterthought, Toriel would have known something was wrong and checked and found Kris wasn't even there. But saying "Kris does that sometimes" implies she just doesn't really care or know what's really going on. It's neglectful combine that with the fact Kris is clearly adopted and Asriel is the golden child, you immediately have a case of emotional neglect here. Not only that but slashing Toriels tires is a clear sign of a grudge ofcourse you could argue Kris did that so they couldn't escape the fountain opening out of player control but this isn't about that specifically, why wouldn't they want Toriel to escape? Maybe to show Toriel what's going on without being dismissed for once, it shows a clear sign of LOOK AT ME aka a cry for help or to be heard. Or worse, revenge, to hurt Toriel.

The third clue is the fact that Kris is non verbal/mute, (ofcourse us as the player make them not as mute) but mutism is a sign of emotional turmoil, depression, autism, anxiety, apathy even, etc, it can be pathologised very easily and should be because humans are social creatures and the fact they just label Kris as an "introvert" means they never really looked into that at all, if your child would not be verbal or only spoke in rare or occasional small sentences you'd in the very least go for a check up with the doctor right? That's a double whammy of medical neglect and emotional neglect in one stone.

Another clue is, the dad hugging Kris, now hear me out you probably think I'm gonna say "he didn't respect the kid's boundaries", actually no, but yes but no, because I'm gonna say : the fact that the dad felt that need to hug Kris despite the boundaries shows he's extremely worried about Kris, almost as if dad knows Toriel isn't the best mother and wants to show Kris "I'm here for you", it signals worry, hell why aren't they together, there's probably something with them disagreeing about how they treat Kris?

I'll probably add to this once I get to play Chapter 3&4.

Also hoping this is an original theory but knowing I'm super late to the party, it probably isn't 😭
