SO now that Final Fantasy 12 is done and dusted, it's time for the next thing on my list. Which has bumped a few others down, but there's a reason for it.
I've been trying to work my way through Wanikani more seriously this year and getting to the point where I remembered about Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee. It even has a kanji mode! It's not the first time I've tried to play something entirely in Japanese (hello, Tales of Hearts) but it felt like it would be a good way to:
Reinforce the kanji and vocab I've already learned or continue to learn (... once I get my revisions under control so I'm not being slaughtered by 200 words a day so I can start doing lessons again)
Learn some extra vocab and kanji along the way
For this spread I'm starting with the segments in white and english, then filling it in with black ink when a segment is done, and putting the Japanese location name in place of the English.
Because it's a nice little "fuck you, read the kana" to my brain, and also a satisfying way to see how far I've made it visually.
My one observation though at this (early) stage in the game is that playing it with one Joycon like this makes me feel like I'm giving some sort of Keynote presentation with a Clicker.
