Our next stop in the north ga mountains was Etowah Meadery. The venue was much larger here then the 1st stop offering a wider variety of meads and merch. Unfortunately since they were larger and more busy the guy pretty much took our order and that was that. He didnt talk about the venue or the meads with us. The place was clean and well organized though and offered a few games to entertain yourself with. Overall the place was good and the mead was great. DARK PEARLS Style: #melomel Meadery: @beecraftmeadco Abv: 13.8% Rating: 🍯🍯🍯🍯🍯 Last but certainly not least. Dark pearls. They use local Georgia piedmont sourced honey in this brew along with fermented whole blackberries and juice from black currant and blueberries. Sweet and fruity on the nose and just as sweet and fruity on the palate. Knowing its made from blackberries i thought it would be a little more tart but is nicely rounded out more sweetly by the currant and blueberry. Blackberry is the more dominant flavor here followed by a distinct separate honey taste mixed with it. We enjoyed this mead so much we took a bottle home to share with friends and family.
